Click here [http://www.archive.org/download/OswegoVsAdrian-2011NcaaD3HockeySemifinal/3-25Per1.mp3] to listen to period 1 Click here [http://www.archive.org/download/OswegoVsAdrian-2011NcaaD3HockeySemifinal/3-25Per2.mp3] to listen to period 2 Click here [http://www.archive.org/download/OswegoVsAdrian-2011NcaaD3HockeySemifinal/3-25Per3.mp3] to listen to period 3 For the second consecutive season, the Oswego State Lakers’ season ended in the National Semifinal as they dropped a 5-3 decision to the Adrian Bulldogs Friday night at Ridder Arena in Minneapolis, MN.  Andrew Mather scored two powerplay goals while Ian Boots added an even strength tally.  Shawn Skelly scored a pair for Adrian while Zach Graham, Andrew Dovey, and Mike Towns (EN), found the back of the net for the Bulldogs.  The Lakers trailed by two twice before tying the game at three early in the 3rd.  Skelly scored the game winner just 1:02 later.  Adrian fell to St. Norbert College, 4-3 Saturday Night in the National Championship Game.

Four goals would be scored in the first period with Paul Rodrigues getting the scoring started on a 2 on 1 rush at 7:04. Brendan Reich tied the game at 10:44 as he sneaked in back door. Five minutes later, Jon Whitelaw scored a powerplay goal to restore the lead before Bowdoin tied it once again with just a minute to go, Reich scoring his 2nd of the game. The Lakers went back on top when Luke Moodie deflected in a Hank Van Boxmeer shot at 7:30 of the 2nd period, but Bowdoin would once again rally as Jeff Fanning scored on the powerplay at 9:04. David Titanic, who netted only one goal during the regular season scored his first of two on the night at 18:36 to make it 4-3. The Polar Bears tied the game early in the 3rd when Harry Matheson trickled one past Paul Beckwith. Titanic’s 2nd of the night would be the eventual game winner at the 5:38 mark. Owen Kelly and Matheson traded goals bringing it to a 6-5 score, before Whitelaw got his 2nd of the game on a deflection to make it 7-5, the final score.
