Episode 5 with Jasmine Lok Action, movement, aliveness — the engines that stoke Jasmine’s inner fire. As a child she prayed to become magickal. Through years of self discovery into her spirituality, her experiences as the owner of a movement studio, and living in Lyons, CO with nature as her neighbor — she can confidently hold the title of Magickal Being. Jasmine embodies the Taurus energy of grounded presence, an Earth being who understands the divine directive and practices a sacredness within the mundane — every day. Deeply connected to her heritage, fully aware she is a spiritual being having a physical experience, she trusts her intuition like a friend. Ever cognizant of how civilization is overly connected in technology and completely disconnected physically, she stands firm in her purpose to affect the world positively with her unique gifts and attributes. When we work to heal our wounds, it often becomes imperative to find a way to share that healing with others. Dancing, music, singing and movement — most importantly with other humans — produces a strong sense of empathy and ultimately helps raise the vibe of everyone involved. “Don’t lose our human,” she says. “We need to be with each other.” For 16 years Jasmine ran Mayama Movement Studio, a dance and exercise studio that taught a range of classes to students of all ages and was a staple in the Lyons community. This interview was recorded in 2025, she has since sold her studio to a company that continues to provide dance and movement classes. Jasmine is thriving in Lyons, CO and expanding into her new chapter. I look forward to catching up with her again in the future for updates! And I for sure want some of those famous Lok potstickers! Self taught witch for 26 years. Spirituality is what we make it. 31:15 - Magick comes when we craft something and we put our intention and our desires into it, but then we’re willing to go out there and do the work. Episode 4 with Dionisia Hatzis Stepping into a bigger world requires an expanded perspective and Dio has always had her eye toward the great unknowns in life. Dio is a hungry aspirant of knowledge, an artist to her core, adventurer and world traveler with the heart of a goddess in training, embodying life in its most sacred. Whether its hiking in nature, gardening in her backyard, coaching and writing for other seeking souls, or dancing in community. A native of New York from a big, Greek family, Dionisia (her full name) happily embraces her connection to Dionysis, the archetype of the racy God (after all he was god of vegetation, fertility, festival, religious ecstasy, madness, wine, music and theatre). I always knew something was there but didn’t know how to find it. 19:25 - No one is between me and the Divine. We won’t get burned at the stake anymore for expressing our beliefs and witchy nature. 23:50 - Person of greatest impact: my father had a huge impact on me and his death was the birth of my spiritual rebirth 25:30 - When the priest spoke at his funeral I didn’t feel anything, those words didn’t provide any comfort 27:31 - How can humans unify? We can find unity as humans if we work on our communication skills. We are going to have differing opinions and thoughts. We need to have conversations rather than casting people out as “other” or we’ll never get to a place of healing. If we can’t be in community with people who disagree with us this tumble cycle is never going to stop. 32:00 - Ways to reframe: It’s not easy to communicate or feel love for those who don’t feel it for us. We might believe in the same thing but my way of thinking about it is different. WSW Season 1 - Episode 2: Conversation with Cristina Michaels

Welcome to the newly launched WOMAN SEES WORLD PODCAST [https://womanseesworld.com/]! It is ready for your ears and energy! My second guest is Cristina Micheals of Denver. Episode 2 with Cristina Michaels This is a conversation inside the layers of being a woman, a human, a person existing as an authentic expression of themselves. Cristina Michaels has a rich connection to her community through dance, acupuncture and advocacy. I am honored to share her perspective and a small slice of her lived experience. She is candid and speaks truth to the perils of category, and also the beauty of personal liberation, self acceptance and living life in spiritual alignment. Cristina sees all humans as beings of light to be treated with kindness. This episode is being published on what is recognized as the Trans Day of Remembrance (November 20). As the website GLADD describes, it is a day that honors the memory of the transgender people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence. In a period of American history where there is no denying the discrimination/hate/violence/political scapegoating against transgender people, most folks have no inkling of how serious it is. Simply do a search for transgender violence and the stats are staggering. According to the Williams Institute at the UCLA School of Law, transgender people are over four times more likely than cisgender people to experience violent victimization, including rape, sexual assault, and aggravated or simple assault. The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) in 2023 declared a National State of Emergency for LGBTQ+ Americans after 550+ anti-LGBTQ bills were introduced into state houses nationwide, with more than 85 passed into law. Another 40 passed into law in 2024. That’s a heckuva a lot of laws for about 1% of the U.S. population or 2.8 million people. The total U.S. population is 343 million people. To think that people sit around “debating” transgenderism as a “concept” or have conversations disguised as being provocative [i.e. transgender sports] with no knowledge of history, statistics, or medical benchmarks regarding body dysphoria and standards of care — while also not having any contact with trans people — is disheartening, to say the least. Discussing any human in the abstract is simply gross. Let’s stop ourselves if we ever do this, okay? All that said, it doesn’t mean we can’t learn from each other and be better in all the ways. As a non-expert, I admit that I only know what I feel and I feel in my heart it is wrong to hate, exclude or commit violence upon any human, most especially for a lack of understanding or a fear of difference. I am a proud ally of the LGBTQIA+ community. Trans women are women. Yes, I completely accept and hold the Divine Feminine and Divine Masculine as spiritual archetypes and energies, which is outside of our human concept of gender. Gender in a manifested body is not the same thing, however, the archetypes exist in all of us and all of Nature. Indigenous Peoples have a term for transgender people, called Two-Spirit. I admire and respect the teachings of indigenous peoples and my intuition tells me there is a spiritual evolution taking place in the way we are acknowledging and interacting with transgender people in our world today. This episode is also dropping under the New Moon in Scorpio which is about uncovering what is hidden, addressing topics we don’t want to deal with, all the shadows (and add a little dash of Sagittarius since the New Moon moved there earlier today - which is asking us to think how to expand our optimism to make changes). I hope this episode can help anyone who has had little experience with trans people to open their minds, hearts and spirits to them and their lived experience. We recognize there are differences but we have to respect one another. 6:12 – Everyone is a beautiful soul of light 6:53 – I am concerned for my safety as a trans woman (only a handful of states are safe for trans people) 8:00 – Checking state trans laws for safety, use the “right” bathroom. “I can get arrested for being trans.” 10:00 – What states I am safe in as a trans woman. There are still laws on the books that allow men to “beat the #hit” out of a trans woman – “panic defense laws” 12:00 – laws on the books to protect “delicate” men. It points to the enormous amount of homophobia in this country. These laws are written for straight men to protect themselves when they “slip up.” 13:30 – Grew up not watching television. For over 19 years she has combined the world of quantum mechanics, frequencies, vibrations, emotions, and body wisdom to move her clients from their past, into the present and support them in creating a healthy, vibrant future. Duncan is supporting the Denver community through access to self-healing and wellness. Urban Sanctuary is founded on ensuring all communities of color have a place to practice self-love and care by offering free classes every week to underrepresented students. She has a deep desire to dismantle racial and social injustices through providing monthly Racial Justice Community Dialogues, learning from other bodies of color on her podcast Vibes In Color, and lifting up other mission-based organizations through community efforts.
