Wonky Kids and Everything Season 2 Episode 3: Be a Mary Magdalene

A very prominent person in the Bible that continually gets a bad wrap is Mary Magdalene, but why? Yes, she was once possessed by seven demons which is horrific, but that isn't where her story ended. Jesus cast out those demons from her and took her with Him throughout His earthly ministry. She was at the crucifixion, the first to see Him at the tomb when He rose from the grave, and the list goes on. Instead of seeing her as who she USED to be, why are we not admiring the person she become BECAUSE of Jesus and coming to know Him. Why are we not looking at how God can take someone who was to the point of being possessed, and seeing how He could use her? Why are we not trying to be more like Mary (post-demon possession) in her walk, ministry, and commission instead of saying that we want to be nothing like her. God had a mission for her, just like He has for you and I. Are we using the excuses of our past to deter from what we are called to do? Or are we being a Mary who walked and talked with Jesus to fulfill what He has called you and I to do? People always held it over Mary's head from where she used to be in life, but never looked at their self in the mirror and re-evaluated their walk and how they were living. If we are judging them before looking at ourself and fixing what is wrong with us, how are we any better than those we compare ourself to. We aren't. We personally would love to have known Mary and to talk with her. To hear her testimony. To just sit with her and listen at how God transformed her and what being with Jesus was like. To be friends with Mary. As Christians, we need to stop pushing away Mary's and start praying for them and witnessing to them. To pour into them, but we also need to pour into each other. Wonky Kids and Everything Season 2 Episode 2: What My Older Self Would Tell My Younger Self

Do you ever think about what you would tell your younger self if you could ever go back in time? What lessons you have learned? What knowledge you could give yourself if you had the chance? Today, we talk about what we would tell ourself and how we would go moving forward if we could. We know we have all made mistakes but would you go back and change them or would you take the lessons you learned from such and move forward ? The grace God continually gives us is something that we receive even when we don't deserve it. In those mistakes and through that grace He gives us, there are many things the Holy Spirit can point out to us that we can learn. But we have to listen to what we are being told and apply that conviction. We can use this to apply to our future self and to becoming who God is calling us to be. So the question still remains.......would you go back in time if you could to change what is now? Or would you take the lessons learned and apply them to your future self while trying to become who God has called you out to be?

Wonky Kids And Everything Season 2 Episode 1: College Isn't For Everyone

We have officially entered into season two of our podcast! As this school year reaches an end we see and hear a lot of people we know or know of trying to decide on their future. Whether they want to go to college or not. But the truth is, college isn't for everyone. As a parent, as you pushing your narrative or God's path for your kids or loved ones? It's hard to let go and trust that God will take care of you child on their path, THEIR path. Today, we get into how it's okay if you go to college, but it is also okay if you don't. College doesn't define you and and not going to college also doesn't define you. Maybe you have been struggling with what to do in college or what field you want to go in as you may be reaching decision or graduation time. That could be your answer that you were not meant for what college can offer. That the other plan that God offers you and has for you. So many parents threaten their children with "If you don't go to college we will......", but is that right? No, we are to guide our children and pray for them, but going or not going to college is not going to define their life. What will define their life is the path they have with the Lord and we should be focusing as much on their salvation as we try to do about their education or lack there of. We hope you enjoy! Wonky Kids and Everything Season 1 Episode 10: Being a Farmer's Wife

We have officially released 10 episodes! So to end this season we are discussing what it is like to be a farmer's wife. We love this life that we have been blessed with, but this lifestyle is not for everyone and that is okay. For us though, we wouldn't trade it for the world. Being a farmer's wife can take some getting used to, especially if you are not familiar with this lifestyle. There is no set time clock, there are no set events, there are no set date nights or set meal times for them. Everything is according to the weather as Pa would say, and that is very true. When the weather is right, especially during the right season, it is go time! Being a farmer's wife is so rewarding though, not in material things but just in the life that God is blessing you with. I have have seen some of the hardest working people with a love and dedication that is unmatched in this lifestyle. The dedication, work ethic, and passion that farmer's have is something to strive for. We would not trade being a farmer's wife for anything and neither would our family. Wonky Kids and Everything Season 1 Episode 9: Faith-Driven Relationships, Testament, & Belly Laughs

This episode might be one of our favorites thus far! Today, we are welcomed by one of Jill's best friends, Alaina. Alaina shares some of her personal struggles and how God has used those struggles to bring her closer to Him. Her story inspires us to keep going and to always know that even while we are struggling, God never lets us go. His mercy, grace, and compassion is something we are so undeserving of but He continues to extend it. Alaina reminds us of this and how God is using her to spread this message and His message of salvation and forgiveness.  She has also been a light to our family and my kids. She is the missing piece that we didn't know we needed and have needed for a long time. God truly does bring us the right people at the right time. It is hard to find God-centered friendships, but when you do, hold on because the journey ahead is so powerful through God's blessings you won't know what to do with yourself. When you sit us down, we have a lot in common, but also we make up for where each other may need a boost. She is a wonderful gift giver, whereas I (Jill) am horrible in that area. On the other hand, when it comes to food, I (Jill) can fix the meal that she requests. Iron sharpens Iron.  Then, to wrap up the evening we have a fun game where we are questioned with maybe just a few laughs!  P.S./Heads-up: My (Jill) ADHD was at PEAK tonight from being so excited!
