If we are to grow this year it must include how we manage our money. As a pastor I have been afraid to speak and teach about money, but I am growing this year and riding myself of that fear. I know many pastors have mismanaged money causing a stigma to be on the church but the mistakes of a few can’t define the whole. We must teach the entire word of God and money is the most talked about subject in the Bible. This week we want to discuss money, in the areas of Tithes, offering, first fruit, sacrificial giving, and generosity. Do you put God first in your money? Are you all about the Benjamins? It's time we self-examine. Many of us have spent many years and some just a few months believing in Jesus Christ for our sin. We have accepted the free gift of grace and now the blood of Christ is at the altar of God pleading on our behalf, now our salvation is sealed until the day of redemption, but we don't want to choose to stay here. Now by faith we have accepted Jesus is Lord, he is the one and only true God, it's time to Make Jesus Lord, Adonai and sovereign owner of our lives. We have just celebrated the most amazing celebration for Christians Easter Sunday! We were reminded last time that "We have the juice now!". We understand that we are responsible to carry the Good News of Christ to all the earth, but it will cost us. Almost every apostle became a martyr. Today we went to encourage believers to mature to understand our job is to build bridges to Christ, not win arguments or quarrel.
