128: How to Calm Anxiety When Everything Feels Overwhelming

What if anxiety isn’t something you need to fix… but something you need to learn how to move with? In this episode, I open up about what I’m personally going through right now and how anxiety has been showing up in my life. I talk about why anxiety is a normal part of the human experience and why trying to avoid or get rid of it doesn’t work.  Instead, I share how I’ve learned to “dance” with anxiety and use it as a tool to move forward, especially during seasons of uncertainty. Naming the anxiety helps reduce its intensity and brings awareness to what’s really going on. * Step 2: Ground yourself Bring your body back to center through breath, movement, or connection so your nervous system can regulate. * Step 3: Get present and take one small step Focus on what’s right in front of you and take a small, doable action to start moving forward. * Step 4: Ask yourself, “What can I control right now?” Shift your focus away from uncertainty and into what you can actually take action on in this moment.
