Episode 8: Boundaries, advocacy and deep self care with Anthony James Williams.

In this episode I speak with Anthony James Williams abolitionist and sociologist. Their work examines racism and the carceral continuum across both prisons and public urban spaces. Anthony sees harm reduction as a fundamental principle for conducting research and producing scholarship. Anthony is writing their first book manuscript that examines the racism embedded in solitary confinement practices and prisonwide lockdowns in California state prisons. Prior to their current role as an Associate Program Officer & Project Manager at the Spencer Foundation, they were the Race and the Carceral State Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow at College of the Holy Cross in the Department of Sociology & Anthropology. Anthony started their educational journey at their local community college and earned their Ph.D. in Sociology from UCLA. More about Anthony and their work here: https://www.antjwilliams.com/

Episode 7: Therapy dogs, alternative healing and hope with Rebecca Rose Bonneville

In todays episode I sit down with Rebecca Rose Bonneville who among many brilliant things is also Kevin's ex girlfriend. Rebecca is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner and psychoanalytically trained psychotherapist specializing in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry. She is the founder of Resilient Minds, a naturopathic psychiatry practice integrating science, soul, and precision medicine. Trained at UC Berkeley, Vanderbilt, and the Nashville Institute for Psychoanalytic Studies, NP Bonneville blends functional medicine, psychoanalysis, somatic therapy, herbal medicine, homeopathy, and frequency-based modalities—including certification in Neuro Emotional Technique (NET). Her clinical background includes inpatient psychiatry, high-acuity community mental health, and trauma and addiction treatment. She previously served as Associate Clinical Director of Psychiatry at Ahead, a national mental health organization. Resilient Minds was created to offer care that is medically rigorous, emotionally attuned, and spiritually grounded. Find out more about Rebecca and her work at www.resilientminds.health
