Descripción

Zimbabwe Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister Monica Mutsvangwa says the country's land reform programme remains irreversible with Government efforts now focused on improving agricultural productivity. She was speaking in a special programme on Classic 263 on Wednesday 2 September 2020, hosted by Moe Chanda, featuring questions from listeners. Minister Mutsvangwa had made similar remarks at a post-cabinet briefing earlier on in the week, and after a joint Press conference by Lands, Agriculture, Water and Rural Resettlement Minister Dr Anxious Masuka and his Finance and Economic Development counterpart Professor Mthuli Ncube. There has been a lot of speculation on social media over the recent Global Compensation Deed between Government and white former commercial farmers, which deals with constitutionally-required compensation for improvements made by the previous owners.
