DOING WHAT WE LIKE IS NOT THE SAME AS DOING WHAT GOD DESIRES. Culture often teaches us to “be ourselves” and “do what we like,” but the Bible teaches us to deny ourselves and follow Jesus. But maturity in Christ calls us to evaluate not just what is allowed, but what is beneficial and edifying. Ask: Does my dressing build up others? Does it honor Christ? WE DRESS FROM OUR IDENTITY, NOT JUST PERSONAL PREFERENCE.
