Over Between The Dials

Between the Dials is a cinematic audio fiction series broadcasting from the pirate frequency 77.7 FM — a Midwest-born station where memory, mystery, and static intertwine. Each episode transmits stories that live between horror and humanity, weaving analog sound design, radio lore, and quiet philosophy into something hauntingly familiar. What you hear is who you are… if you stop to listen.

S1E3 Looped Signals

You’ve found 77.7 FM.  Or maybe you never left. Welcome back to the signal — this is Between the Dials, and tonight we examine Looped Messages / Signals: time bending back on itself, memory skipping, meaning echoing… until déjà vu and destiny blur into the same hum. In this broadcast: Static & Sentiment – “The Card Always Comes” A listener story about a birthday card that arrives every year—hand-drawn, impossible, and slowly revealing a truth that turns comfort into a loop you can’t unsee. Cornfed Frequencies – “The Voice That Didn’t Know It Was Dead” A follow-up transmission to “The Phantom Broadcast.” The radio spreads. The town starts to hum. And the voice keeps asking for confirmation… even though it doesn’t know it’s dead. Red Rider Reports – “Third Time’s the Harm” Red Rider reports live from a trail that folds in on itself. The feed duplicates. The signal cycles. And somewhere ahead on the path… he sees himself coming back. Static is a Language – “Autoplay, Autopilot” A winter language lesson on internal loops: scripting, rehearsal, ritual rewatches, and the quiet ways neurodivergent minds keep the pilot light lit through the holidays. Ghosts in the Machine – “Is This Post Familiar to You?” A dive into loop stories from Reddit: pasta questions repeating like a corrupted file, déjà vu panic, and the unsettling idea that reality might just be… buffering. Along the way, the episode features in-world 📡 Broadcast Support Messages (Non-Paid) ☁️ Cloud9 Therapy Hoodie — a real product referenced as part of the broadcast narrative. 🔗 https://www.cloudnineclothing.ca/ [https://www.cloudnineclothing.ca/] ☕ Hanrose Espresso Machine — a real product used personally and featured transparently. 🔗https://www.amazon.com/stores/HANROSEDailyBrew/page/864674E9-7F6A-4256-AA89-90885191DB10?lp_asin=B0DB5KLFWL&ref_=ast_bln&store_ref=bl_ast_dp_brandLogo_sto#  🧠 T.H.A.T.C.H.E.R. Companion Mode — a fictional system within the Between the Dials universe. (Cloud9 and Hanrose are real products mentioned without compensation. T.H.A.T.C.H.E.R. is fictional.) We close with one question:  is the loop a prison… or a path? Because you are what you hear… if you dare to listen. S1E2 Proof of Signal/Out Past the Tower Range

You’ve found 77.7 FM.  As I was before, so I am again — your host, Steven Carter. In Episode 2, the signal splits in two: Proof of Signal and Beyond the Tower. Proof is the evidence — the mark or pattern that shouldn’t be possible and yet still arrives. Beyond is the reach — the part that pulls us past the edge of the map, toward both adventure and danger. Tonight we ask: what happens when mystery finally offers proof? Does it get too heavy to carry, ruin the relationship, or is the ride worth the price? In this broadcast: * An anonymous dream-visitation story from someone who keeps hearing the voice of a partner they’ve lost — warning them, helping them, knowing things they shouldn’t. We explore whether that’s just memory… or an actual signal coming through. * A brief introduction to something people keep whispering about: the Telepathy Tapes. We didn’t create them. We’re just listening — and we’ll return to them later. * Cornfed Frequencies – “The Suitcase Prophecy” A strange suitcase appears again and again across different lives. Inside: objects that already belong to you… and one impossible thing from the future. It helps at first, but the more you lean on it, the heavier the consequences get. * Red Rider Reports – “Out Past the Tower Range” (Premiere segment) A weather station logs a 3:17 AM anomaly. A tape is sealed away in a vault wall. The intern who heard it talks to someone who isn’t there. When Red Rider plays the recording, the voice in the signal seems to be trying on different masks — until it sounds uncomfortably like his own. * Static Is a Language – “The Tape That Watches Back” From late-night TV static and cursed tapes to ADHD, RSD, and why years of criticism can feel like a horror loop in your head. Static isn’t silence; it’s a language. And sometimes, it feels like the tape is watching you back. Including a PSA on ghosting that does not mince words. * Ghost in the Feed Reddit stories where small glitches become proof: a dry toothbrush that exposes cheating, a house where “everything is turning green” and the stain leads somewhere no one wanted to look. Along the way, the episode features in-world support from Hanrose (the espresso ritual that clears morning static), NordVPN (out past the tower range, you never know who else is listening), and Blurpatch™, powered by T.H.A.T.C.H.E.R. — a cognitive modulation system that tries to regulate the noise, rewrite your worst impulses, and “keep you safe in the signal.” We close Under the Static with one last reminder: Proof without mystery is a cage. Mystery without proof is a ghost. Together, they carry us farther than either ever could alone. Because you are what you hear…  if you stop to listen.

aflevering S1E1 Signals Crossed artwork

S1E1 Signals Crossed

Somewhere in the static, two signals overlap.  The first broadcast from 77.7 FM begins clean—then fractures into something more human. In Signals Crossed, we meet the voice behind the transmitter, test the reach of the frequency, and learn what happens when echoes of the past start answering back. Featuring layered analog sound design, magnetic tape artifacts, and a transmission that refuses to stay linear. This episode sets the tone for what’s to come: stories that live between memory, mystery, and the quiet hum that never stops. “What you hear is who you are… if you stop to listen.” 🎧 Listen now at: www.77-7fm.com [https://www.77-7fm.com] 📡 Follow the signal: @777TheDialIsOpen [https://www.instagram.com/777thedialisopen] on Instagram & TikTok 📬 Send your transmission: transmissions@77-7fm.com
