US tells its citizens in Iran to leave or seek refuge

The United States is urging its citizens in Iran to leave immediately, warning that protests continue to escalate. Partial restoration of phone services in Iran

An Iranian official has told the Reuters news agency that about 2,000 people have been killed in the protests, including security personnel.
