Over Chemistry at University
The Chemistry at University podcast is a podcast designed to give an insight to A-Level (or equivalent) students studying chemistry as to what studying chemistry at degree level is like. In this 6 episode podcast series, we speak to 3 chemistry professors about the undergraduate level concepts that students might learn on an undergraduate chemistry course. We also talk about their research so that students can see where the field of chemistry is going and whether a career in chemistry might be for them.
Episode 6: Interview with Professor Judith Howard (Part 2)
In our final episode, we continue our interview with Professor Judith Howard and talk about the principles behind x-ray crystallography. The episode handout, along with links to the transcript, can be found here: http://bit.ly/cau5-6
Episode 5: Interview with Professor Judith Howard (Part 1)
In this episode, we focus on physical chemistry and interview Professor Judith Howard, a professor at Durham University. In We talk about her background and career. At the end of the episode, I take you through the concept of surface tension, an interesting concept covered at undergraduate level.
