Over Christ Faith Tabernacle International

Welcome to the Christ Faith Tabernacle Podcast. Here, you will find sermons delivered by Apostle Alfred T. B. Williams, the general overseer of Christ Faith Tabernacle International Churches. Apostle Alfred Theophilus Babatunde Williams, LLB(Hons), LLM Inter Bus. Law, MCIArb Apostle Alfred T. B. Williams was personally commissioned by the Lord Jesus Christ in 1984. On 3rd March 1990, he founded Christ Faith Tabernacle (CFT) International Churches—a thriving global ministry that has raised countless leaders, planted churches across nations, and served as a prophetic voice, faithfully delivering God’s divine instruction to individuals, institutions, and governments. At the heart of CFT’s mission is a divine mandate to build overcomers for tomorrow—believers who are spiritually empowered to stand firm in their faith, walk in their God-given authority, and demonstrate the love and power of Christ. CFT is dedicated to equipping individuals with the faith, wisdom, and godly character needed to transform lives, families, and communities through the power of the Gospel. Apostle Williams is actively engaged in global evangelistic crusades, business summits, and leadership training. Through his ministry, millions have experienced salvation, the sick have been healed, and the powers of darkness have been overcome in the name of Jesus. God continues to confirm His Word with miraculous signs and wonders—including the blind receiving their sight, the lame walking, and many testifying of divine encounters through the Holy Spirit. He is widely recognised for his prophetic accuracy and apostolic authority, which have not only impacted churches but also extended into government institutions and national leadership. Apostle Williams has been invited by presidents of nations to teach on the strategic role of the Church in national development, governance, and godly leadership. In addition to his pastoral ministry, Apostle Williams has served as Chair of the Board of the African Caribbean Evangelical Alliance of Great Britain and as a board member of Liberty Counsel (USA), a Christian legal advocacy organisation. He is also the Pioneer of the Jesus City Project—a 430-acre development initiative comprising social housing, a hospital, educational institutions, leisure facilities, and commercial enterprises, all aimed at holistic spiritual and societal transformation. A respected leadership teacher and mentor, Apostle Williams is the creator of the 21st Century Leadership framework—a highly regarded resource exploring key themes such as High-Impact Leadership, Sourcing Ability and Continuity, Navigating Global Complexities, and Sustainable Leadership. His insights empower leaders across various sectors to lead with vision, excellence, and Kingdom values. Apostle Williams’ sermons are more than teachings—they are divine impartations that equip believers to build a deep, intimate relationship with God and walk in the fullness of their spiritual authority. His messages call the Church to embrace Jesus’ Great Commission (Matthew 28:18–20): to make disciples of all nations, proclaim the Gospel, and advance the Kingdom of God with boldness, integrity, and love. The Gift of Prophecy & Tongues (Pt.2)

In today’s sermon, Apostle Alfred Williams calls the church into deeper hunger for the Holy Spirit, urging believers to worship with full focus—hearts engaged, distractions shut out—so the Word isn’t stolen from us (cf. Mark 4:15). He teaches that spiritual gifts are not casual add-ons, but are pursued with clean hearts and genuine desire: “Follow the way of love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts” (1 Corinthians 14:1). From Romans 12:1–2, he explains that living as a holy sacrifice and renewing the mind are not optional extras—they position us to discern God’s will and move in the prophetic chambers with clarity, purity and power. Apostle then breaks down the purpose and advantage of tongues: when a believer speaks in tongues, they speak directly to God, uttering mysteries in the Spirit (1 Corinthians 14:2), building themselves up while their spirit prays (1 Corinthians 14:4, 14–15). He charges the church to pray both in the Spirit and with understanding, and to seek interpretation—because tongues with interpretation becomes prophecy that strengthens, encourages, and comforts the church (1 Corinthians 14:3; Ephesians 6:18; Jude 1:20).

The Gift of Prophecy & Tongues

In today’s sermon, Apostle Alfred Williams teaches that the outpouring of the Spirit was promised for all God’s people—so that sons and daughters would prophesy (Joel 2:28). He explains that prophecy is not guesswork or hype, but mysteries revealed by the Holy Spirit—often through dreams and visions—and he anchors this in Jesus’ words that the Spirit of truth will guide us into all truth and tell us what is yet to come (John 16:12–13). This sermon is also a sober correction: believers must stop chasing “a word” from people, and learn to hear God for themselves, because a Church that cannot discern will be easily misled and frustrated. Apostle then opens up the gift of tongues and its purpose: when you speak in tongues you speak to God, uttering mysteries in the Spirit (1 Corinthians 14:2), and you edify (build up) yourself—strengthening your faith and spiritual authority (1 Corinthians 14:4; Jude 1:20). He urges believers to pray in the Spirit and in understanding (1 Corinthians 14:15; Ephesians 6:18), and to seek interpretation, because tongues with interpretation becomes prophecy—meant to strengthen, encourage, and comfort the Church (1 Corinthians 14:3).

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is yours

In today’s sermon, Apostle Alfred Williams teaches that the believer’s faith must be governed by what Jesus said, not by denominational opinions—because the Lord’s instruction is clear: wait for the Father’s promise and receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you (Acts 1:4–8). He explains three distinct experiences of the Spirit: receiving the Holy Spirit at salvation, being baptised in the Holy Spirit, and being filled with the Holy Spirit—each opening a deeper realm of spiritual capacity and effectiveness (Romans 10:9–10; Acts 1:4–5). Apostle Alfred then explains that speaking in tongues is evidence of baptism of the Holy Spirit, because in Scripture the Spirit came, filled believers, and “they began to speak” as He enabled them (Acts 2:1–4). He anchors this in the Gentiles’ experience at Cornelius’ house (Acts 10) and the disciples at Ephesus (Acts 19:1–6), urging every believer to become thirsty for God—so that “rivers of living water” flow from within, bringing boldness, deliverance, and prophetic utterance for the blessing of others (John 7:37–39; Mark 16:17). We then finish with a short Q&A to round up this teaching. We hope you are blessed.

How to receive power - Pentecost Sunday

In today’s sermon, Apostle Alfred Williams welcomes the church to Pentecost Sunday and declares a Holy Ghost Convention season—calling believers to take the Holy Spirit seriously as the Father’s promised gift (Acts 1:4–5). He teaches that the gifts of the Spirit are released when the Spirit manifests “for the common good” (1 Corinthians 12:7), and challenges every believer to stop living beneath their inheritance: if we die without profiting others through what God placed in us, what will we say to Jesus? Apostle Alfred then makes the invitation plain: the Holy Spirit is for all who believe, and baptism in the Holy Spirit releases power, bold witness, and supernatural language (Mark 16:17; Acts 1:8). He urges the church to tarry—to worship, wait, and listen—because those who truly want to hear God must make room for Him, not rush past His voice. Anchoring the promise in Jesus’ own words—“If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink” (John 7:37–39)—he declares that believers are meant to carry rivers of living water, bringing life and healing wherever they go (Acts 2:1–4). This sermon is a call to desire, to surrender, and to receive: come thirsty, ask boldly, and let the river flow—because when the Holy Ghost fills you, you won’t just attend church… you will become the evidence that Jesus is alive.
