Over ESPN The Classroom

The Classroom is a weekly sports talk show produced by the Marist College Center for Sports Communication that airs each Saturday morning from 10 a.m. to noon EST on ESPN 1220 of the New York Hudson Valley. Moving far beyond scores and highlights, center director/executive producer Dr. Keith Strudler and co-host Geoff Brault dig deeper into the intersection of sports and world around us, with guests ranging from leading sports journalists to professors and academics to Dr. Strudler’s college roomates. And lest you fear it’s too serious, the show demands a strong comedic flair, including segments that range from student dating advice to radio’s first ever animal draft. All of this is done with the efforts of Marist Center for Sports Communication student interns, who do everything from research to technical production to going on air. It’s a unique partnership between an academic center and an ESPN radio affiliate, and it’s your weekly smart look at sports.
