Evolution Leads to Racism? | Faith Science, episode 53.

Jerry read several quotes from Charles Darwin's The Descent of Man to demonstrate several of Darwin's beliefs: that white people were superior to others, that more civilized (i.e., evolved) people would eventually exterminate the less civilized humans, and that compassion in humanity (in the form of asylums, laws to help the poor, vaccinations, and hospitals) resulted in a weaker human race. He then showed the logical connection between Darwin's macroevolutionary hypothesis and false ideas such as racism, eugenics, and Nazism. Jerry discussed how the pseudoscientific mythology of dinosaurs (including the notion that humans never encountered dinosaurs) is directly connected to how many people begin to doubt the Bible and Christianity. He also showed that atheists generally explain away the evidence of humans and dinosaurs coexisting in weird ways, such as Carl Sagan's proposition that indigenous people made up their depictions of dragons (dinosaurs) based on bones they found.
