A Faith That Does Not Fail - Luke 22:31-32

A Faith That Doesn’t Fail Key Scripture Luke 22:31–32 (KJV) “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.” One of the things we eventually learn in our walk with God is that faith is easy when life is going well. When prayers are being answered quickly, when doors are opening, when circumstances seem to cooperate with what we’re believing God for. But the real question isn’t whether we have faith in comfortable seasons. The real question is: What kind of faith survives pressure? In this moment with Peter, Jesus reveals something important. He didn’t pray that Peter would avoid trouble. He didn’t pray that Peter would escape the test. Instead, He prayed something very specific. “I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not.” Which tells us something about the Christian life. The goal isn’t simply to have faith. The goal is to develop a faith that doesn’t collapse when life becomes difficult. And today we are going to talk about 5 ways you can ensure that your faith does not fail.

aflevering Stewarding this season well - Luke 16:10 artwork

Stewarding this season well - Luke 16:10

In this episode, we explore Jesus’ powerful teaching in Luke 16:10 that faithfulness in small things prepares us for greater things. What if the challenge is not that God has given us too little, but that He is teaching us how to steward what we already have? Together, we walk through six levels of stewardship, from survival and awareness to faithfulness, alignment, multiplication, and ultimately overflow. Through Scripture and practical reflection, this conversation helps us recognize where we are in our current season and how God develops growth step by step. If you have been feeling stretched, waiting for more, or seeking clarity about where you are right now, this episode invites you to shift your prayer from asking for increase to learning faithful stewardship. Overflow is not about life becoming easier. It is about a life sustained by God’s presence. If you are in the Providence area, you are invited to join us every Thursday at 6:30 PM at 372 Wayland Avenue in Providence, Rhode Island. Come as you are. We would love to grow with you.

Running on Empty or Living in Overflow - Psalm 23:5

Have you ever felt like you’re constantly pouring into everyone and everything, yet quietly running on empty inside? In this episode, we explore the powerful question: Are you running on empty, or are you living in overflow? Through Psalm 23 and the words of Jesus, we discover that overflow is not about perfect circumstances or an easier life, but about staying connected to the faithful Shepherd who restores, refills, and sustains us. Together, we reflect on what fills our “cup,” why God restores us before He enlarges us, and how true overflow flows from relationship, not effort. If you are longing for renewal, deeper faith, and a life anchored in God’s presence, this conversation is for you. If you’re in the Providence area, you’re personally invited to continue the conversation with us in person every Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at 372 Wayland Avenue in Providence, Rhode Island. Come as you are and grow with us.

How to Connect With God

Hello everyone, welcome back to the podcast. This is Episode #5. And biblically, #5 is the number of grace. And we have certainly been experiencing God’s grace in our Thursday bible studies. We had a great time of discussion, testimony and we closed out with unity prayer that we had to do 2 benedictions for because the power of the holy ghost showed up so powerfully.  Last week, we talked about ways to connect with God and how He meets us in more than one spiritual pathway. We discussed 6 out of the 12 ways we connect with God. We explored movement, discovering that walking, working, or even dancing can become a form of prayer. We discussed conversation, learning that prayer is an ongoing dialogue with God, not just a scheduled moment. We reflected on solitude, creating quiet space to listen and regain perspective. We considered expression, encountering God through creativity and the act of making. We focused on meditation, allowing Scripture to slow us down and shape our inner life. We ended with adoration, worshiping God simply for who He is, without agenda or request. And this Thursday, February 12th, we’re going to discuss the other six ways to connect with God. If you’re in the Providence area or nearby cities, and you’ve been praying, seeking God, wanting to grow in your understanding of Scripture, desiring a deeper relationship with Him this year, and looking for a local community to grow with, I want to personally invite you to join us. We gather every Thursday at 372 Wayland Avenue in Providence, Rhode Island at 6:30 p.m., and we would truly love to have you with us. Now let’s dive into the remaining six ways that you can connect with God.  Scripture References: Matthew 25:40, Psalm 86:11, Matthew 17:21, Psalm 19:1, Micah 6:8, Psalm 100:4.
