Interview with "Half Of Her": Poetry for Surviving Domestic Violence

"Half Of Her" is what remains of a poet who found a way to speak of the domestic violence that kept her a prisoner in her own home, until the day she freed herself. She now creates poetry that celebrates breaking the cycle of abuse and bringing shelter for those in similar situations. She creates recordings of her work and competes locally as a slam poet in Fort Collins.

Interview with Chris Lorensson

Poet and hiphop producer, Chris Lorensson (aka Hygiene) joins co-host Christine Hogg in the studio to talk about his background, connections between poetry and hiphop, and his recent works. Chris shares select poems and context from the first anthology, BLOCK, and the first hand-illustrated chapbook, The Slide Projector, from his larger body of work, Slurp, Gulp, and Start on Sounds.

Interview with Crisosto Apache, Colorado Poet Laureate

Crisosto Apache has been appointed the newest Poet Laureate for Colorado, becoming the first indigenous poet to be selected for that position. Co-Hosts Booger and Christine have an insightful conversation about Crisosto's background and the future of poetry in Colorado.
