Listen to the Land: Stories and conversations about home and the land in the rural Southeast
Abisai Vazquez grew up with the wild chickens of Fitzgerald -- hundreds if not thousands of unusual birds that seem to thrive only with the city limits of this South Georgia town. But Vazquez always wondered why they were there. In this podcast episode, Vasquez talks to former city admininstrator Cam Jordan and tries to solve the chicken mystery of his youth. Listen to the Land is a production of students at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, Georgia, and produced with support of the Georgia Museum of Agriculture, the Georgia Pecan Growers Association and the Gail Dillard Faculty Enrichment Fund.
