Metanoia Tape Vol.1

Last week I sat down for a conversation with a good friend, Louis Bowes, with the intention to discuss our parallel paths in life that have seen us through the labyrinth to this moment of Revelation. Our discussion took us from the early days of the LYF, across the Black-pilled Wastelands to a tentative approach to discussing the Sacred Heart of The Mystery. I first met Louis back amongst those heady teenage dreams and restless yearnings of 2010, whilst recording Go Tell Fire to the Mountain [https://wulyf.bandcamp.com/album/go-tell-fire-to-the-mountain]- we then saw each other on sporadic occasion for a few years before our friendship really crystallised over a shared admiration of Toltsoy’s “The Gospels in Breif” (as a side note, Nick Cave’s response to my Question [https://www.theredhandfiles.com/i-have-been-reading-tolstoys-the-gospel-in-brief-and-wondered-if-you-had-read-this-short-book-what-does-christ-mean-to-you-i-hear-his-name-mentioned-in-many-of-your-songs-but-thematically-the/] about this book in many ways clarified much of my own feelings towards the Christian question, and is inevitably one of my most treasured moments of online connection) I have wanted to write on these themes for a while but have struggled to articulate in a way that feels truly true, maybe it’s a lifetimes project of becoming, indeed I know its a little early for my confessional memoirs, but to document my thoughts in this moment I figured recording a conversation with Louis would make a good start. I always find conversation with Louis great council filled with mutual mirroring that leads us both to some novel insight, our private talks tend spiral around for hours as we track that elusive longing over a bottle or two of wine, so inevitably we only just began to scratch the surface in this conversation, After only discussing one of my proposed talking points we decided this “metanoia tape” should become a series, which I will continue on my own personal substack, so for those who are interested in hearing the conversation deepen; sign up! In this second episode of our Podcast, we had the pleasure of speaking with Monika Bravo [https://linktr.ee/monikabravo], a Miami based Multi-media Artist & a Joyous, Multi-Dimensional being… Monika and I first came to know each other in 2021 through the Rebel Wisdom online community, initially we engaged around Richard Tarnas’s important book Cosmos and Psyche [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cosmos_and_Psyche]- and then from there she endeavoured to teach me the foundational understandings of Evolutionary Astrology and Human Design as tools to assist you on the path towards individuation.  In the years since she has become a close friend and mentor to both me and Ebony… I am always astounded by the wealth of knowledge and disciplines that Monika is versed in, and how she synthesises them into a forthright and practical self sovereignty; We have spent many hours discussing the trials and tribulations found in the pursuit of self knowledge, and how to fully utilise those unique qualities each of us are endowed with at birth, to live joyful, creative and purposeful lives. This often has brought us to the vigilant practice of self discernment and that shadow play of bringing all that is unconscious to the light.  Through our conversation with Monika today, we will delve into these prescient themes of self-awareness, taking responsibility of your projections and triggers, the release of repressed trauma and the importance of mindful embodiment and integration, learning how the continued practice of Shadow Boxing can lead us to the realisation of the radiant fullness of our true being that resides behind the mask of our ego persona, ever present in the eternal now. What's in a Name? An Oral History of Lost Under Heaven |LUH#001|

Lovers & Friends, We would like to introduce “Love Unites Humanity” -our new podcast series where we shall explore the evolutionary journey of Soul making within our own lives and deepen into our creative process and ideas found on our forthcoming 3rd Album. As Lost Under Heaven, our music has always been rooted in spirituality and philosophies of the human condition, and this podcast series will be an extension of that. We hope that through openly sharing who we are as artists and what we aspire to create and achieve, we can inspire others to take up the path of realisation and reclaim their own individuated sovereignty. In this first episode, we take the opportunity to reintroduce ourselves and discuss our journey so far, starting with what we've been up to since the release of Love Hates What You Become in 2019. We then look back to the initial conception of LUH, revisiting the first manifesto of our “luxury lifestyle brand” scripted long before we even started making music together. We conclude with an exploration of the question "What's in a name?" Ebony shares a poem and we discuss our individual interpretations of "Lost Under Heaven" and placing the Name within its wider cultural context. We believe we live in times of great transformation and aspire to use our creative expression as a vessel to break free from the constraints of societal norms and expectations and to walk our own path in life. In 2019, we decided to leave Mute, our previous record label, and have spent the last few years building the foundation for what's to come. All our recent work has been funded via our Patreon community and our own crypto investments, making us completely independent and free to create the art that we truly believe in. With the launch of LUH.International [https://luh.international/], our own independent creative studio and label imprint, we look to build our life vision on our own terms, valuing community, collaboration, and authentic honesty. We believe that by following your heart, embracing your individuality, and taking control of your life, you will be able to create a life that is truly fulfilling and meaningful. This journey is not an easy one, but we know it is the only one that is worth taking. The community we have found through our Patreon has been great source of inspiration and support, that has shown us how together, we can share our experiences, and help each other to grow and evolve. We are excited to embark on this journey and see what we can achieve when we live life on our own terms.
