Marbella with Him & Her
Welcome to this week's edition of Marbella with Him & Her, the popular podcast about Marbella presented by husband and wife expats living in San Pedro de Alcantara PJ Lopez @pjlopez1marbella and Hannah Murray @radiohannah This week there is plenty of food chatter starting with the night before Hannah's birthday when PJ made a steak dinner. The following day Hannah's girlfriends descended on the house to meet for some croissants and mimosas before being ferried off to The Hard Rock Hotel Marbella where they spent the day for her birthday. Listen to hear how it all went and what happened after the hotel! Hannah shares some of the presents she got for her birthday from PJ and her lovely friends. PJ gives out some information about the Hogan Hackers special hole in one competition which has a car up for grabs if anyone manages to get a hole in one. See @thehoganstand or @thehoganhackers for more information. He also mentions the Vuelta de España which will be passing through San Pedro on the 11th of September They went to see the stand-up comedian Sergi Polo in Estepona and share some funny stories from the evening. They speak about their meal at The Oak Marbella, which is part of the Sala Group and then ending up in La Sala watching the amazing singers, Diva Fever. Hannah also gives out some important information for women and what they can say to bar staff to alert them that they are in some type of trouble or getting unwanted attention. Basically, you just need to ask for Angela to any member of the staff and they will ensure you get into a taxi safely. There is an update from their friends Steph and Frank who are currently on a road trip in Europe. They have arrived at a German town called Wank. So of course, there are lots of funny stories about what people from there might be called etc. Saturday night they had a dinner party for some friends. PJ made braised leeks with romesco sauce, a huge vegan spaghetti Bolognese using lentils and a dessert of crème Brule. There is the usual married banter this week from cooking too much food and whose fault it is to Hannah being mistaken for Melissa's mother. This week's articles from collaborators The Euro Weekly News include a planned €3.7 billion makeover of the Mercadona stores up and down the country, and the Plaza de Toros Marbella Neighbourhood Party.
