Worship Is War: The Goodness of God | Pastor Brandon Woodard

The greatest threat to your faith isn’t usually the storm; it’s the sunshine. We’ve all had those seasons where everything just clicks—the kids are great, the job is solid, and the marriage is thriving. But as a culture, we are wired to "call on God" only when the 911 sirens are wailing. When life is "good," we often feel like we can lay down our weapons. We forget that a complacent heart is a defenseless heart. In this message, Pastor Brandon Woodard continues our Worship Is War series by looking at the life of David and the warnings in Deuteronomy 8. We discover that the enemy loves a "fat and happy" Christian who has let God’s provision become the reason they stop seeking His presence. If we only worship when we’re broken, we’re missing the point. Worship is how we fight. It’s how we kill the ego before it can grow and stay alert even in the "promised land." Whether you are in a season of affliction or a season of affluence, it’s time to become "undignified" in our praise. Don’t wait for a crisis to find your voice. Use it now. In This Message: - Why "the sunshine" can be more dangerous to your soul than "the storm." - Learning from King David’s "undignified" worship in 2 Samuel 6. - The danger of forgetting God in the midst of His blessings (Deuteronomy 8). - How to build a "spiritual reserve" so you are unshakable in every season. How To Be A Godly Husband | This Is Us | Brandon Woodard

Most of us don't set out to have a marriage that's a "dumpster fire," yet we often default to a contract—asking "what can I get?"—rather than a covenant—asking "what can I give?" In part two of our series, This Is Us, Brandon Woodard challenges the men of New Post Church to stop behaving like the culture and start behaving like the Christ. To the men: You want your wife to respect you? Paul’s instruction in Ephesians 5 isn't a license to be a boss; it’s a command to be a sacrifice. Headship isn’t about being the "ruler" of the house; it’s about being the first one to the Cross. Whether you are married, dating, or single, this message is a call to lead as a "First Responder"—the first to repent, the first to forgive, and the first to pray. Your wife isn't an accessory to your life; she is your assignment. In this message, we break down: Contract vs. Covenant: Moving from "what’s in it for me?" to "how can I serve her?" The Kings Daughter: Remembering that before she was your wife, she was (and is) a Daughter of the King. The Sacrifice Audit: Evaluating if you are actually laying your life down or just expecting her to lay hers down for you. Lead Repenter: Why the most "manly" thing you can do is be the first to say, "I’m sorry." How To Be a Godly Wife | This Is Us | Brandon Woodard

Marriages don't usually explode; they drift. We see two people who love each other slowly slip away because the "gravitational pull" of their home is centered on the wrong thing. Whether it’s the kids, the career, or even each other, if Jesus isn’t at the center, the gravity is off. In part one of our series, This Is Us, Brandon Woodard dives into Ephesians 5 to look at God’s original design for marriage. This isn't about the world’s standards, it’s about the Word of God. We’re leaning into the high calling of being a godly wife: a role defined not by inferiority, but by order, strength, and mission. If you’ve ever been hurt by the misapplication of these scriptures, we invite you to lean in and hear the heart of the Father. A godly wife isn't a passive bystander; she is an Ezer—a vital, "warrior-like" helper who brings the grounding force of the Gospel into her home. In this message, we explore: - The Solar System of Marriage: Why Jesus must be the center for everything else to hold together. - Mutual Submission: Why the entire horizontal relationship hinges on our vertical reverence for Christ. - The Power of "Ezer": Understanding the strength and dignity of being a biblical helper. - 4 Practical Ways to Respect: How a wife’s respect echoes the Gospel to her husband’s soul. The Journey: Part 5 | It's Not Yours

Are you a manager or an owner? In this message, Pastor Brandon Woodard continues "The Journey" series by tackling a topic that often makes us uncomfortable: Money. By looking at the Parable of the Talents in Matthew 25, we discover that as disciples of Jesus, we are called to be stewards of God's resources. True stewardship means shifting our mindset from personal ownership to Kingdom management—using what we have to love people and push back darkness. 📍 Key Takeaways: Character & Calling: Your calling will never outpace your character. The Principle of Effort: God doesn't care about the amount; He cares about the action you take with what you've been given. The Manager Mindset: "You don't own it." Everything we have belongs to God. The Strategy: Love people, use money. 🎥 Video Chapters [00:01] - Welcome & Service Intro [01:08] - Church Announcements (Kids Team, Missions, App Setup) [04:13] - Sermon Start: The Journey / Stewardship [06:50] - Review: 5 Marks of a Disciple [09:12] - Why money is part of your relationship with God [11:20] - The Kingdom of Heaven: "There Then" vs "Here Now" [13:20] - Scripture Reading: Matthew 25:14–30 (Parable of the Talents) [16:45] - Why character must match your calling [20:55] - Why effort matters more than the amount [22:45] - The danger of "playing it safe" with God's resources [28:35] - The Mindset Shift: "You Don't Own It" [31:30] - Kingdom Investing: Love People, Use Money [34:00] - Practical Application: Give First, Save Second, Live on the Rest [36:10] - Next Steps: Financial Peace University (FPU) [39:00] - Compassion International: Child Sponsorship Opportunity [46:50] - Closing Prayer & Response Next Steps Download the App: Search "Church Center" and select New Post Church for all sign-ups and calendars.
