Getting Cultured According to Letterboxd

AN EXERCISE TO BETTER OURSELVES In a 'Worlds First' here at Ranked! The Movies Podcast, we're are pairing two films that almost certainly never have been discussed in tandem: 1924's Sherlock Jr and 2000's Requiem for a Dream Using the power of 'Random Numbers' we're digging into the most beloved films on Letterboxd and making our way through them, hopefully culturing ourselves and y'all. DAMN, THEY DID IT AGAIN Well we've already ranked the series so we couldn't help ourselves from updating our overall series rankings and giving Scream 7 our overall thoughts I mean, it was a Scream film of all Scream films...right? ANOTHER SCREENER! We got another screener, and this one was really quite thought provoking (so def not that first one we got oh my God...) Oops All V's!

VIVA VERDI We get all kinds of fun inquiries to watch new films, which has been a mixed bag, but this time we got a great one. So great, in fact: it was nominated for an Oscar! Holy shnikees! So we open by reviewing Yvonne Russo's Viva Verdi; a documentary film exploring Casa Verdi, it's history, and most importantly: it's residents V FOR VENDETTA And it wouldn't be right if we did an 'oops all V's' episode without including V for Vendetta; a, maybe too close to home right now, movie that was recommended to us through memes and the internet. VIDJA GAMES Finally: Tofu Lang waxes poetic about some new video games he's recently acquired; and they weren't all great...plus exclusive lore drop on what his name really means!
