My good friend and colleague Ben Andrus and I discuss an essay about adapting The Lord of The Rings to the big screen. The essay was written by Tolkien scholar Tom Shippey and is entitled Tolkien and Jackson: Book to Script. Ben and I get into the differences between the written page and the visual screen, nuances of translating work from one medium to the other, and even briefly discuss The Rings of Power.
