aflevering I Thought Christianity Was the Problem artwork

I Thought Christianity Was the Problem

In this episode, I share my personal journey from Catholicism to the New Age world and ultimately back to a deeper relationship with God. For many years, I believed spirituality offered the freedom, healing, and connection I was searching for. Like many women navigating burnout, mental health challenges, and personal growth, I found myself exploring energy work, healing practices, plant medicine, manifestation, and other spiritual teachings. Over time, however, I began to notice things that challenged my beliefs and forced me to ask deeper questions about faith, truth, discernment, and my relationship with God. In this conversation, I discuss: * Why so many people move from Christianity into New Age spirituality * What attracted me to the spiritual world * The similarities and differences between New Age beliefs and Christianity * The importance of discernment in your healing journey * My experiences in both spiritual and Christian communities * Why your relationship with God is ultimately personal * How faith, responsibility, authenticity, and reverence create a softer life This is not an episode about convincing you what to believe. It is an invitation to think critically, stay curious, and strengthen your own relationship with God. Whether you identify as Christian, spiritual, somewhere in between, or are still figuring it out, I hope this conversation encourages you to seek truth with humility, courage, and an open heart. If this episode resonated with you and you’re interested in joining one of my upcoming retreats, send me your email address and I’ll send you more information about future retreat opportunities. aflevering 3 Things You Need to Stop Doing to Have a Soft Life artwork

3 Things You Need to Stop Doing to Have a Soft Life

We often think a soft life is about doing less, resting more, or escaping stress. But sometimes the fastest way to create more peace is to stop carrying things that were never ours to carry in the first place. In this episode, we talk about three behaviors that quietly create stress, drama, and emotional exhaustion: * Getting involved in other people’s relationships * Letting other people into your relationships * Letting other people tell you who you are or what you should do We explore how these patterns show up in families, friendships, marriages, and everyday life, often disguised as helping, supporting, or caring. We also discuss boundaries, trusting yourself, protecting what is sacred, and why healthy relationships require clarity, responsibility, and respect. In This Episode * Why being the mediator often creates more problems than it solves * How outside opinions can impact your relationships * The difference between support and interference * Why strong boundaries create more peace * Learning to trust your own intuition and judgment * Protecting the sacredness of your closest relationships * Creating a softer life through responsibility and self-awareness About Soft Life with God Soft Life with God is a podcast for strong, independent women who want to create more peace, presence, and ease through faith. Together, we explore relationships, boundaries, nervous system healing, homemaking, personal responsibility, and spiritual growth while staying grounded in our relationship with God. aflevering When You’re Exhausted but Can’t Slow Down artwork

When You’re Exhausted but Can’t Slow Down

We’ve all heard the advice. “Slow down.” “Rest.” “Stop rushing.” “Regulate your nervous system.” But what happens when slowing down doesn’t actually feel relaxing? What happens when you finally sit down and your mind immediately starts telling you all the things you should be doing instead? In this episode, we’re talking about the hidden cost of slowing down and why creating a softer life is often more uncomfortable than people expect. We explore: * Why rest can feel stressful instead of peaceful * The guilt many women experience when they stop being productive * What slowing down revealed about my own burnout and nervous system * The mistake I made when I swung too far from high-functioning to non-functioning * Two practical ways to create lasting change without turning your whole life upside down * Why small daily habits often create more transformation than dramatic life overhauls * How faith helps us move at a healthier pace while still honoring our responsibilities One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that slowing down isn’t just about doing less. It’s about becoming present enough to notice what we’ve been running from. The racing thoughts. The anxiety. The exhaustion. The pressure we’ve been putting on ourselves for years. It’s uncomfortable at first, but it’s also where healing begins. If you’re recovering from burnout, feeling stuck in constant productivity, or trying to create a softer and more peaceful life, this episode is for you. A Note About Retreats In this episode, I share why retreats have been one of my favorite ways to hit the reset button and reconnect with God, myself, and what truly matters. Sometimes the fastest way to slow down is to step outside of your normal environment and create space to hear yourself think again. If you’re interested in joining a future retreat, send me your email through Instagram or Substack and I’ll add you to the waitlist. aflevering Idolatry Isn’t What You Think artwork

Idolatry Isn’t What You Think

Most people think idolatry only means worshipping statues or false gods. But what if it’s much more subtle than that? In this episode, we talk about the modern forms of idolatry that many of us participate in without even realizing it. Money. Success. Relationships. Spiritual leaders. Healing practices. Approval. Control. Even spirituality itself. We explore how anything can become an idol when it takes the place of God at the center of our lives. This episode is not about judgment or fear. It’s about awareness, discernment, and honestly looking at what we are truly centering our lives around. In this episode: * What idolatry actually means beyond religion * Why humans are wired to worship * How good things can quietly become idols * The difference between Creator and creation * Spirituality, plant medicine, and spiritual leadership * The hidden worship of money, power, success, and control * How obsession and attachment pull us out of alignment * What worship really looks like in daily life * Questions to ask ourselves about our priorities and devotion A reminder from this episode: Worship is not just singing or praying. What we consistently give our attention, devotion, trust, sacrifice, and energy to…that is what we worship. This episode is an invitation to reflect on what is truly sitting at the center of our lives and whether it is bringing us closer to God or further away from Him. About the Podcast Soft Life with God is a podcast for strong and independent women who are learning how to slow down, soften, and live with more peace through faith in God. aflevering What If Love Isn’t Enough? artwork

What If Love Isn’t Enough?

Why do relationships feel so heavy sometimes, even when the love is there? In this episode, I talk about the deeper issue underneath conflict in relationships: unclear roles, blurred responsibilities, unspoken expectations, and emotional over-carrying. From marriage and parenting to friendships and business partnerships, so many of us are trying to manage other people’s emotions while neglecting our own boundaries and responsibilities. I share my thoughts on emotional safety, cycle breaking, parent-child dynamics, expectations in relationships, and why communication alone is not enough. We also talk about the difference between supporting someone and trying to save them. If you constantly feel overwhelmed, resentful, emotionally responsible for everyone, or frustrated that people “should just know,” this episode is for you. In this episode: * Why communication alone doesn’t solve relationship problems * Understanding roles and responsibilities in relationships * Emotional boundaries between parents and children * The pressure many women feel to carry everything * How perfectionism and people pleasing show up in relationships * Why unspoken expectations create resentment * The difference between helping, supporting, and controlling * Questions to ask yourself for clarity and healthier boundaries * Creating emotional safety in your home and relationships * What softness actually looks like in relationships A few questions from this episode: * Did anyone ask you to do what you’re doing? * Are you helping or controlling? * Are you expecting people to read your mind instead of communicating clearly? * Are you resentful because someone crossed a boundary…or because you never set one? * What would softness look like in this relationship? This episode is a reminder that softness does not mean avoiding responsibility. It means carrying what is yours and allowing other people to carry what is theirs. Healthy relationships are built through clarity, boundaries, communication, grace, and practice. Not perfection. Thank you for being here with me. God bless you and your relationships.
