Only Two Things: Wisdom & Compassion, with Kimla Desrosiers

Kimla Desrosiers was raised Catholic until she encountered her first awakening upon reading about Buddhist teachings. The idea that everything within reality can be broken down into wisdom and compassion resonated so deeply with her, that she felt something within her heart break open and remember. Much to her parents’ discomfort, she left the Catholic Church, joined the Universal Unitarian church and eventually became a Tibetan Buddhist, taking a vow that spans across lifetimes. In this episode, she shares with us her experience of leaving her body for the first time, the beings she met there, and the wisdom they shared. She also shares her experience of clear light, non-duality, and oneness, something that is quite ineffable and yet simultaneously, could be discussed until the end of time. Yet, like many of my podcasts guests, her approach is grounded, and her work is real, as she continues to model the never-ending balancing act that is being human. Where Science Meets Spirituality, with Dr. Nancy McLaughlin-Walter of the Monroe Institute

Dr. Nancy McLaughlin-Walter never expected that she would end up studying consciousness. She never thought she’d find herself co-director of research at the now quasi-famous Monroe Institute located in the beautiful Shenandoah mountains of Virginia. But, as more than one of my podcast guests have stated, Monroe has a way of finding you. In this episode, Nancy brings us through an array of spiritual experiences she has had throughout her life. From a Ouji board planchette flying across the room on its own, to highly accurate psychic readings, out of body experiences and more. Yet her approach is grounded, bridging the gaps between scientific inquiry and spiritual knowing, while offering more insight into this real-life American Hogwarts where she gets to spend most of her time. Mark opens up about his continued psychic evolution at Arthur Findlay College, which we affectionally refer to as the “real life Hogwarts.” (Yes, it is a magic school, housed inside a beautiful chateau in the UK.) Mark also gives real world, down to earth, examples of the incredible healing experiences that can come from mediumship work, as he acts as a bridge between worlds, connecting loved ones from the beyond. Lastly, Mark shares an astonishing update for us from his own story, that will leave you with a new-found faith in the power of love.
