From Personal Branding at Work: About the Author, Ari M. Weinstein
During a 24-year career with a prominent firm in the financial services industry, Ari rose in the ranks from graphic designer to vice president. As a manager, he hired, trained, and developed talented people who went on to work in leadership and executive roles. Throughout his corporate career, Ari honed his branding expertise as he took on new management responsibilities in different areas of the company, including technology, finance, and operations. Ari launched several new operational functions and led award-winning teams of specialists. Starting up new functions in a large company required clear branding and messaging, including titles, role descriptions, mission statements, and infographics. By communicating their mission clearly, Ari’s teams helped customers understand how they could be of service, and how their roles fit into the rest of the organization.
Continuing this practice of thoughtful reinvention as he pivoted to self-employment in 2017, Ari rebranded himself and his business. That year, he was awarded an inaugural volunteer award by Footsteps Inc., a non-profit whose members Ari works with as a career mentor. His volunteer work was further acknowledged with a recognition award from the City of New York
in the same year.
Looking for ways to incorporate coaching and mentoring into his branding practice, Ari became a certified coach in 2019, accredited by the Association for Coaching. Ari now partners with his clients to help them achieve professional growth by strengthening their personal branding. His
customers express their branding on résumés, in job interviews, and on social media. Ari shares his insights about branding on LinkedIn and has posted a series of helpful videos about professional growth on YouTube.
When not coaching, Ari writes articles about design and illustration, with a focus on the tools he uses daily for brand development. In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors, photography, birding, and hiking.
