S1E8. Host Katie-Ellen Humphries with Guest Eman El-Husseini

Katie-Ellen Humphries is back as host with the one and only, Eman El-Husseini. Originally from Montreal Eman went from server at a comedy club, to stand-up on stage, to successful New York comic with a Crave special. In this episode Eman shares her experience navigating comedy as a Canadian, a Palestinian, a Muslim, and a lesbian. She reminds us that there is not one person that holds the power to your success, and at one point lists all the words you cannot say on the BBC in her very own British accent.

S1E7. Host Abdul Aziz with Guest Aisha Brown

Aisha is a Canadian Screen Award winning comedian for her Crave special First Black Woman ever; as well as a writer, actress, and an extremely casual satirical rapper. Aisha chats about her experiences recording her Crave special, writing for television, and her challenges with anxiety, depression and imposter syndrome.

West Coast host, comedian Katie-Ellen Humphries meets East Coast sensation Brandon Ash-Mohammed. Stand-up comic and writer for Canada’s Drag Race, Brandon Ash-Mohammed, gets into his early experiences at Humber college, how a mindful hiatus from comedy can nourish your heart and career in the long run, and the rewards of creating your own space and aligning with like-minded people in the industry. We kept a generous amount of Fefe Dobson content in this one, and it might be the most Canadian episode yet.

In this round old friends Graham Clark and Paul Bae navigate the dozens of twists and turns in Paul’s career - from stand-up, school teacher, blogger, writer, and performer, Paul has had his hands in everything. More recently he’s seen huge success in podcasting with his scripted fiction podcasts The Black Tapes and The Big Loop.
