Hannibal Rising

We've donned our culturally inappropriate samurai gear to do battle with the 2007 sequel, Hannibal Rising. You'll hear how quickly we think this movie goes off the rails as it starts to build sympathy for the serial killing character we know as Hannibal Lecter, so many tangents about a myriad of things that have nothing to do with this sequel, and a disagreement about what we should be talking about at the end of this film as one of us has clearly given up wanting to talk about this sloppy mess of a movie. We've contacted the smell police because we're on the case of trying to figure out the 2001 sequel, Hannibal. You'll hear the unkind things we have to say about the pigeon forward opening credits, how much we labor to get through most of this movie because the movie itself labors so much and for so long, and how much we enjoy the end of this movie because it finally gets good the second we expose Ray Liotta's brain, which is when the movie abruptly ends.
