Over The Everything Sequel Podcast
The Everything Sequel podcast is dedicated to discussing the most difficult of movies to get right, the sequel. Follow the adventures of movie lovers Michael Shantz & Tom Steward.
Wes Craven's New Nightmare
We're bursting out of our closets to tell you what we think of the 1994 sequel, Wes Craven's New Nightmare. You'll hear all our thoughts on the new look of Freddy and how effective the look is at being scary, what the crew and what we think about Wes Craven's ability to write things that come true and benefit the film and the problems we have with the movie's ending, which keep this from being a truly great addition to the series. Thanks to our monthly supporters * Matt and Vicki S * Kate Lampe * Steve Weiss * Matthew Aldrich * Edward Lankford * Heather Sahami
Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare
We might not be falling head over heels for our next movie but we'll break through any barriers to let you know why as we talk about the 1991 sequel, Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare. You'll hear what we like about the opening scene, a disagreement about how the looney tunes nature of this film hits each of us as we watch and our thoughts about the ever changing history of Freddy Krueger and whether now was the time to do these changes. Enjoy! Thanks to our monthly supporters * Matt and Vicki S * Kate Lampe * Steve Weiss * Matthew Aldrich * Edward Lankford * Heather Sahami
A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child
We're wheeling the baby buggy into our closets to prepare for our talk about the 1989 sequel, A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child! You'll hear a disagreement about the nature of dreams and how they work, further disagreements about what works and doesn't work for this film including the performances from the lead actors, and lastly, even more disagreements about whether or not the end of this film is it's strength or it's weakness. Enjoy! Thanks to our monthly supporters * Matt and Vicki S * Kate Lampe * Steve Weiss * Matthew Aldrich * Edward Lankford * Heather Sahami
A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master
We don't need a dog to piss fire on us to wake up to the idea that the 1988 sequel, A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master is a good movie, although we may disagree about exactly how good a movie it actually is. You'll hear a disagreement about how and when the cast from the previous film should meet their demise, a discussion if the overall look of the film is more cinematic or made for television and absolutely no disagreement about some of the films set pieces including a time loop dream and the practical effects of trapped souls escaping Freddy's body. Enjoy! Thanks to our monthly supporters * Matt and Vicki S * Kate Lampe * Steve Weiss * Matthew Aldrich * Edward Lankford * Heather Sahami
A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors
Fans won't think we need therapy at the local asylum because we don't have lots of problems with the 1987 sequel A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors. You'll hear how much we like the rising production level for this film and what they choose to do with it, like giant Freddy worms, what we think of the blend of comedy and terror with maybe the series most famous line and kill and a conversation about brining the demise of Freddy into the world of religion. Thanks to our monthly supporters * Matt and Vicki S * Kate Lampe * Steve Weiss * Matthew Aldrich * Edward Lankford * Heather Sahami
