The Uniform Fit. The Silence Didn't. | VISIBILITY with Col. Bree Fram

Some versions of us fit so well that nobody notices they're costumes. They earn promotions. Compliments. Trust. Belonging. They make other people comfortable. They check every box on paper. Until one day, they don't fit the person wearing them anymore. This conversation isn't just about visibility. It's about what happens when authenticity becomes more valuable than approval. About the quiet moment when a person decides that surviving as someone else's version of themselves is no longer enough. Col. Bree Fram knows that decision intimately. A retired U.S. Space Force colonel, astronautical engineer, public policy expert, former Congressional candidate, and author, Bree shares what it means to become visible in a world that would often prefer you remain invisible. Together, Kirsten and Bree explore authenticity, leadership, identity, privilege, and the extraordinary freedom that begins the moment we stop asking permission to become ourselves. "I gave myself the gift of possibility at 30. I gave myself authenticity at 40." "I went through some awful things, and I don't want you to have to go through those." "Why would anyone choose to be discriminated against? This made my life harder. But the value I got from being myself taught me how to be a better leader." "No one's going to give it to you. There's no magic promotion. There's no external validation that's going to say, 'Okay, now you can be you.'" "What are you waiting for?" * Why some of the most powerful leadership lessons begin with identity. * The difference between performing a life and actually living one. * What authenticity gives back after it costs you almost everything. * The hidden privilege of never having to wonder whether it's safe to be yourself. * Why visibility creates possibility for people you've never even met. * How becoming yourself can expose blind spots you never knew you had. * Why your people can't find you if you're hiding behind a version of yourself that no longer fits. * The surprisingly profound life lesson hidden inside a 12-foot Halloween skeleton. Col. (ret.) Bree Fram is an astronautical engineer, public policy expert, author, speaker, former Congressional candidate, and retired U.S. Space Force colonel. Bree came out publicly as transgender on the day the military's transgender ban was lifted in 2016 and was later forced to retire following an executive order targeting transgender service members. In her final military assignment, she led requirements development for future Space Force capabilities. Her work has appeared in the New York Times, Washington Post, and other national and international media outlets. She is the author of Forging Queer Leaders: How the LGBTQIA+ Community Creates Impact from Adversity and editor of With Honor and Integrity and With Valor and Visibility. You Don't Need to Speak to a Manager | PERMISSION with Shari Biery

Some women can organize a family vacation, negotiate a salary, advocate for everyone else's needs, and somehow still freeze when someone asks, "What do you want?" Not because they don't have an answer. Because somewhere along the way, wanting something for themselves started feeling like it required approval. This week's conversation isn't really about confidence. It's about authority. The quiet ways women outsource it. The invisible permission slips we've been handing to bosses, partners, parents, calendars, guilt, and imaginary committees that never seem to adjourn. Shari Biery knows this terrain well. After spending two decades supporting her husband's military career, moving ten times, reinventing herself again and again, and finally hearing the words, "Now it's your turn," she realized nobody else could authorize the life she wanted to build. That signature had always belonged to her. Together, she and Kirsten unpack the strange way midlife invites women home to themselves. Not through becoming someone new, but by finally trusting the woman who's been waiting underneath decades of over-functioning. FERAL SNACKS "Clarity gives you the direction. Permission is what actually moves you forward." "The only person that can really sign that permission slip is ourselves." "We've gotten our permission slips a lot from the outside. And now the question shifts from 'What does everyone else need from me?' to 'What do I want?'" "No one is coming to give you permission. It's your turn to choose yourself." "We need to stop treating ourselves like side characters." IN THIS EPISODE • Why so many women wait until burnout before they believe they're "allowed" to rest • The sneaky ways we outsource decisions we were always capable of making • What military life taught Shari about identity, reinvention, and finally choosing herself • Why midlife feels less like reinvention and more like coming home • How wellness culture can accidentally pull us farther away from our own body wisdom • The hidden cost of always being the dependable one • Why coaching assumes the answers are already inside you • The difference between functioning well and actually feeling alive ABOUT SHARI BIERY Shari Biery is a Purpose & Well-Being Coach for Midlife Women, keynote speaker, and author of It's Your Turn. Strength Training Ain’t About the Dumbbells | STRONG with Monica Moehring

Some women spend decades trying to weigh less while carrying more.More responsibility. More invisible labor. More emotional weight. More expectations. More people who somehow mistake "she can handle it" for "she should."Then one day they pick up a dumbbell and discover something unexpected: strength was never about getting smaller. It was about becoming more capable of carrying the life they actually want. This conversation isn't really about deadlifts. It's about what happens when women stop measuring themselves by a number on a scale and start measuring themselves by what they can build. Muscle. Confidence. Boundaries. Trust. Capacity. A life that finally fits the woman living it.Because sometimes becoming physically stronger is simply the first place a woman practices becoming more herself.FERAL SNACKS"I became a different person, a better person, once I started lifting heavy weights." "If you actually want to look toned, you should train like you're trying to get bulky." "Not trying to get back to that person, but just get to the best version of yourself now in this phase of life." "Pick something that feels ridiculously easy." "I never want anybody to become more like me. I just want people to realize that they can be more like them." Some Women Learned Damage Control Before Self-Trust | DIPLOMACY with Genie Gratto

Some women can negotiate contracts, manage teams, calm angry clients, and navigate awkward family dynamics with the precision of a Swiss watch. Then they spend forty-seven minutes rewriting a text message because they don't want to sound rude. Not because they're weak. Not because they're insecure. Because somewhere along the way, many women learned that keeping the peace was safer than telling the truth. This episode lives in that space. The space between diplomacy and disappearing. The space between being emotionally intelligent and becoming the unpaid public relations department for everybody else's comfort. The space between what you mean and what you actually say.Kirsten Bombdiggity sits down with Genie Gratto, CEO and Founder of GWRITES, for a conversation about communication, self-trust, perception, boundaries, and the hidden costs of constantly translating yourself into something more comfortable for other people to consume.Because clarity turns out to be a lot kinder than self-erasure.FERAL SNACKS• "It doesn't make things kinder. It just makes things blurrier for people."• "Ambiguity costs you years."• "We don't need to ask people to grade us."• "The feral era is not about stopping diplomacy, but it is about not confusing diplomacy with disappearing."• "Diplomacy is clarity. Diplomacy is never self-erasure." IN THIS EPISODE• Why softening your message can accidentally hand other people the pen• The hidden difference between being kind and being blurry• How women learn to apologize before they've done anything wrong• What happens when you're better at managing perception than expressing need• The reason disappointing people you love feels scarier than high-stakes negotiations• Why ambiguity quietly drains time, money, energy, and relationships• The surprising connection between diplomacy and self-trust• The gap between what you mean and what you actually sayABOUT GENIE GRATTOGenie Gratto is a mission-driven communicator with a passion for narrative, storytelling, technology, and social change. aflevering Women Aren’t the Six Sigma Sex | VIBE with Michelle Pecak artwork

Women Aren’t the Six Sigma Sex | VIBE with Michelle Pecak

Some women can read a room faster than they can read themselves. They notice the tension. The awkward pause. The weird text. The subtle shift in somebody else's energy. Meanwhile, their own exhaustion is standing in the corner waving both arms like it's directing airport traffic. For years, many women were rewarded for becoming experts at emotional logistics. Keep things smooth. Anticipate needs. Manage reactions. Stay useful. Stay pleasant. Stay "fine." The problem is that eventually you can become so good at maintaining the vibe around you that you lose track of your own. This conversation explores what happens when that realization finally catches up with you. Michelle Pecak spent two decades building billion-dollar systems in corporate America before discovering that the same pattern recognition that made her successful in supply chain could also help people better understand themselves. The result is a conversation about human design, nervous systems, intuition, identity, joy, and why the second half of life often feels less like reinvention and more like remembering. Because sometimes nothing is technically wrong. And that's exactly why it's so hard to ignore the feeling that something needs to change. FERAL SNACKS "Sometimes you start using words before you actually know it's your thing because your soul knows it's your thing." "They're just not my vibe." "Nothing you did in your day job was a waste. It's just how you repurpose it." "You can't f*ck up your life path." "You can never miss what's meant for you because what's meant for you is going to arrive right on time." IN THIS EPISODE • Why some women become emotional air traffic controllers for everybody around them • The difference between lowering your standards and choosing your energy • What twenty years of supply chain strategy taught Michelle about human behavior • The moment a corporate career stops fitting but still pays the bills • Why your joy job and your day job don't have to be the same thing • The surprising overlap between dog breeds, nervous systems, and identity • What happens when your body knows before your brain does ABOUT MICHELLE PECAK Michelle Pecak, Founder of MY VIBE Michelle Pecak took her 20 years in supply chain and created Quantum Operations, an assessment of how people, process, product, and pricing are all connected by strategy. Michelle has worked for some of the largest billion-dollar B2B distributors and manufacturers in the world, helping organizations scale through strategic pricing and heart-centered leadership. A master connector and advocate for holistic wellness, Michelle believes that understanding yourself is one of the most powerful luxuries available. Her work helps people identify their strengths, align with their purpose, and create meaningful growth in both life and business. She is also the Founder of My Vibe Community, a conscious commerce marketplace where healers, organizations, professionals, entrepreneurs, and executives come together through collaboration, reciprocity, and connection.
