This Aquarian Life

The November Review

If we have learned anything in this life of Truth or Consequences, it’s that even the most Careless Whisper is getting recorded on some distant (or not so distant) star in space - or in a memory file - or deep in a subconscious junk mail box clogging up a chakra that’s basically going to show itself in every day life.  So that’s fun, right? And that’s not to say we should all be paranoid that everything we say and do is going to have some sort of effect - even though it will - spoiler - but - if anything - we can be reminded as to how powerful we actually are as creative beings.  We do matter - in all of our thoughts and actions and words and things done and undone. It matters. So what does everyone want to have a bigger experience of? Do we want to lift off from a terrain of love and joy and creativity or squishy fearful victim-y reactions? And are we willing to take responsibility for the actual experience we’re having? Are we willing to make the necessary changes in our thoughts and actions if we’re not loving said experience?  It’s a Sag New Moon! Dream big! Go for the wild unknown! Draw those fiery arrows and aim for the Sun!   And don’t be afraid to travel intercontinentally (big Sag vibes there) to wipe your brain (and any other body parts) of the muck and grime that’s clogging those chakras, holding you back from the brilliant and wildly optimistic visions Jupiter wants you to GET. Really really really. Jupiter wants it wicked bad for you. The Hairy Eyeball of Saturn

Hello and good day from our “interstitial” episode - not directly related to the TMZ feature that actually ISN’T showing up on anyone’s “HBO recommends” watchlists - and we do still have things to say about hashtag Guru Jagat and hashtag cult life…Hashtag whatever gets us more attention and ratings! (Hashtag “I was the cafeteria worker for a cult” Hashtag “I was ogled by a politician” Hashtag whatever sells.) But seriously (and what could be more serious) than talking about that stern teacher Saturn and what we might expect when it finally goes direct in Pisces…Pisces that vague foggy rather groggy dreamscape…so if our conversation meanders a little we’re just trying to keep things on brand…a little musey, a little dreamy. The Mists of Drakkar Noir

The veil is thin and so are the storylines as we meet on All Hallows Eve to discuss the second installment of fan fiction and literal magazine television. Origin stories, imposter syndrome, sexdrugsandrocknroll, folk wisdom, sound bites, and a guided meditation made to look really, really weird and sinister with red lighting and dramatizations of women in white veils shrieking up at the sky. We get it - most of this is for entertainment purposes only, and maybe speculative history sells (?)  Thus from the pages of another origin story (accompanied by Burberry and Ralph Lauren ads) springs a Greek Chorus offering an interesting narrative of someone we used to know. We’re still trying to figure out the actual story they are trying to tell here ourselves (yoga=bad?) and why have they still not mentioned that their main character * spoiler * hasn’t been alive going on three years…and therefore can’t comment on any of this? Living Her Best Death

We take a few beats and discuss the E! True Hollywood story of our yoga teacher now deceased, and actually at rest in Hollywood Forever Cemetery - so technically it’s all on brand (isn’t THAT something to think about as we approach Samhain and Day of the Dead.)  As ever we step back and have a conversation respecting multiple perspectives - trying to anyway - on a shared experience that produced VERY different interpretations from people involved. Ultimately - we all tell a story, we all sell a story. Are we buying a story? Then buyer beware. What is the cost, and who is making the biggest profit? (Spoiler - it is not Joanna or Andrea - we are definitely losing money on this podcast. You’re welcome!) We’ll be back to discuss Astro and possibly the next installment of the infotainment.  As sentient beings, at the very least, watching this mindfully - it’s fun to see our friend and teacher’s story told in mmm…creative, sensational ways.
