Alabama's Finest - Winston Ramble

Winston Ramble is the best rock band you may not have seen or heard as of yet, and you should get on that. From Northwest Alabama, these players have been laying down original rock and roll tracks, and have put out several singles and EP's, showcasing their musical talents. They have an incredible range, and it is reflective in their music, and in the covers that they put out as 'Heaters'.  We discuss their musical influences, talk about their rigs, and discuss the resurgence of Bluegrass and Jam Grass. We also talk about their numerous albums, EP's, and singles - and discuss the current state of the music industry from an artist's perspective.  The guys expand on their desire to continue playing genuine musical performances, and how the industry has changed in the new era of social media. We talk about some of their favorite venues to play, before putting the guys on the spot with their 'desert island album picks'. Cameron Williams (Tishamingo, The Black Creek Band & SCAM)

It was truly a pleasure to sit down with one of my favorite musicians and storytellers. If you've been in the music 'scene' as long as I have, you came to understand the powerful musicianship of Cameron Williams over his lengthy music career. This was a special episode - and I am happy to share it with you! We discuss living in the Colorado mountains, his introduction to music at an early age via the piano and ukulele, and his eventual bands Black Creek Band and Tishamingo.  We take a trip down memory lane as we discuss other bands that were prominent on the Athens, GA (and southeast more broadly) music scene, and talk about working with John Keane, his friendship with Eric Carter, Eric Martinez, Betsy Franck, Sam Holt, and others.  We chat about his songwriting process, and where he finds inspiration to write and perform. Happy to share a conversation I had with new friend of the show - Maya Thatch! Fresh off of the Phish Sphere shows, we discuss her love of Live music, which comes in the form of Phish and Goose, among others. We discuss growing up in California, and her subsequent move to the mid-west for college, and eventual move to her new home of Colorado. We dive into a brief meeting she had with Rick Mitarotonda, her trip to Viva El Gonzo in 2025, the transformation of Goose with the addition of Cotter after the departure of Jeff and Ben, and what inspired her to become a social media influencer with dance videos over Jam music.  We also discuss emotions that come with songs that speak to all of us - and visit a couple of songs that are special to Maya.  Maya brings an amazing energy to the Jam scene, and her videos make us smile every time she posts. Health, Wellness, and a Beautiful Life - with Priscilla Tofte

Happy to introduce you to Priscilla Tofte - new friend of the show - and our new personal Somatic Breathwork practitioner. Hailing from her new home in Asheville, NC - we had a post-weekend-visit interview to talk about her life, her professional work as a Life Coach and Wellness professional. We discuss growing up in Portland, ditching her corporate career for a more centered Life that grew out of a friend's recommendation to take up a career as a Life Coach, and discuss our session this week in which I got to explore somatic breathwork. It was a fantastic session, and I really look forward to the next! In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, we also discuss the Trump administration's plan to fast-track the research, review, and approval of psychedelic 'drugs' for treating a number of mental health conditions. Still a lot of roadblocks to that end, but we discuss the potential impact that the new treatment options would have for a broad set of use cases. We also discuss what led her to start the Facebook group - Climb to Safety - which provides a safe space for people to give and receive love of all kinds.
