You Already Know. So Why Aren’t You Doing It?

Why is it so hard to do better… even when you know better? There comes a point where you know something needs to change. You’re more aware. You see the pattern. You know what’s not working. But knowing better doesn’t automatically make doing better easier. In this season finale of Trusting Her Journey, we talk about why it feels so hard to choose something different, even when you know better. We break down what’s actually happening in your brain and body when change feels unfamiliar, why predictability can feel safer than growth, and how self-trust is built through practice, not pressure. We also talk about:  • why awareness alone is not enough • what neuroplasticity looks like in real life • how your body responds when you try something new • how to stop ignoring what you feel • what it looks like to create a new pattern Because the truth is, what you’ve practiced can be unlearned. And every time you pause, notice what you feel, and choose differently, you’re building self-trust in real time. The Truth Behind Why You Stopped Trusting Yourself

There’s a version of you that knows exactly what you need. But somewhere along the way… you stopped listening. In this episode of Trusting Her Journey, we shift the conversation inward and explore what it really looks like to lose trust in yourself. Not in an obvious way. But in the small, everyday moments where you override your needs, ignore what you feel, and choose what feels “right” over what actually feels true. We talk about:  • What self-abandonment actually looks like in real life  • How being “the strong one” can disconnect you from yourself  • The difference between control and self-trust  • Signs you may be overriding your intuition  • What it looks like to slowly come back to yourself Because the truth is… you can’t build healthy relationships while abandoning yourself. And rebuilding self-trust doesn’t start with having all the answers. It starts with learning how to listen again. Feeling Overwhelmed? What to Focus on in This Season

Feeling overwhelmed and not sure what to focus on? If your mind has been all over the place… trying to figure everything out at once… this conversation is for you. In this episode, we talk about what it actually looks like to slow down, stop overthinking, and get clear on what matters right now, without putting pressure on yourself to have everything figured out. This wasn’t even the episode we planned… but we followed the conversation where it was leading, and it turned into a real, honest discussion about discipline, alignment, and trusting God in the middle of uncertainty. We get into: * why everything can start to feel like “too much” at once * how overthinking keeps you stuck * the importance of being mindful of what you consume * and how to start focusing on what’s in front of you instead of trying to figure out the whole season If you’ve been feeling stuck, confused, or pulled in too many directions… this episode will help you come back to what’s true and take your next step with clarity. You don’t need to figure out your whole life right now. Start with today. What Healthy Friendships Actually Feel Like (When You’re Growing)

Adult friendships change as life changes. But healthy friendships don’t fall apart every time things shift. Sometimes they actually grow stronger. In this episode, we talk about what healthy adult friendships actually look like when people grow, change, and learn how to support each other through different seasons of life. Over the last few episodes, we’ve been talking about friendship. In Episode 5, we talked about why adult friendships start to change as our lives change. In Episode 6, we talked about the conversations most friends avoid having. In this episode, we continue that conversation by talking about what healthy adult friendships can look like. Because while some friendships shift or fade, there are also friendships that grow with you. The kind of friendships where: • your friends respect your changing capacity • you can say no without the relationship falling apart • honesty strengthens the relationship instead of damaging it • friends challenge you when needed and support you when life is heavy We also talk about the role communication plays in protecting friendships, how social media can distort our expectations of friendship, and why safety and emotional maturity matter in every relationship. Healthy friendships are not perfect. But they are honest, supportive, and willing to grow. Throughout the episode, we invite you to think about a few things: • Are you the kind of friend who makes it safe for others to grow? • When a friend’s capacity shifts, do you adjust or take it personally? • Are you creating the same safety in your friendships that you hope to receive? Because friendship is not just about shared history. Sometimes the strongest friendships are the ones that survive honest conversations and continue to grow over time. If you're just joining us, we encourage you to go back and listen to Episode 5 and Episode 6 to hear the full conversation about how adult friendships change and why difficult conversations matter. When You Change And Your Friends Don’t: How to Have This Honest but Conversations

Friendships change as we grow, but most of us never actually talk about it. In this episode of Trusting Her Journey, we continue the conversation about evolving friendships and how to address the shifts that happen over time. What happens when your capacity changes, your priorities shift, or life simply looks different than it used to? Instead of having honest conversations, many of us avoid them. We tell ourselves it’s not that serious, we don’t want to be dramatic, or we don’t want to risk hurting the relationship. But silence often creates assumptions, distance, and resentment. In this episode, we talk about: • Why so many women avoid difficult conversations in friendships • How silence and assumptions quietly create distance • Understanding grief when friendships change • Questions to ask yourself before addressing a friendship shift • Conversation starters to help you speak honestly with a friend Because not every friendship needs a hard conversation. But the ones that matter deserve honesty. Rest Stop Reflection Questions: What conversation am I avoiding because it feels uncomfortable? Is this relationship one I value enough to be honest in?
