Dr. Zara Khan is a distinguished educator, researcher, and political theorist specializing in comparative political philosophy and critical theory. She earned her Ph.D. with distinction in Political Science from the City University of New York (CUNY) Graduate Center, focusing on Political Theory and Comparative Politics. Her academic journey also includes a Master’s degree from the same institution, where she delved into the intersections of political thought and social justice. Dr. Khan is a Senior Fellow at the Yaqeen Institute for Islamic Research, where she contributes to contemporary Islamic scholarship. One of her notable works includes the paper “Taking Account of Tech: Fulfilling Our Personhood in the Smartphone Era,” which examines the moral and spiritual implications of technology on human behavior and accountability. Beyond academia, Dr. Khan actively engages in community education and interfaith dialogues, striving to foster a deeper understanding of Islamic principles in addressing contemporary societal issues.
