In the eighth episode of Agilent’s Dialogues in CDx, our guests from episode 7 continue the conversation on head and neck cancers with a more forward‑looking perspective. Building on the discussion of current practice, this episode explores what lies ahead—from emerging biomarkers and AI‑enabled pathology to the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of precision care in HNSCC. Professor Cécile Badoual is a pathologist and Head ofthe Department of Medical Biology and Pathology at Gustave Roussy in Paris. An expert in head and neck cancers, her research focuses on the tumor microenvironment of HPV‑associated cancers. Beyond her current roles, she has held numerous senior academic and institutional leadership positions, and her career has been recognized with several prestigious honors for her contributions to pathology and translational cancer research. Our second guest, Dr. Marc Oliva, is a medical oncologist and clinician‑scientist with a focus on head and neck malignancies and early drug development. He trained at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto and is currently a full consultant at the Catalan Institute of Oncology in Barcelona. Dr. Marc Oliva has an established record of peer‑reviewed scientific publications and is actively engaged in the scientific publishing process as an editor and regular reviewer for leading international oncology and immunology journals.
