ARP392 Treaty with Spain

On October 7, 1795, the Ambassador Thomas Pinckney agreed to the first treaty between the US and Spain.   The Treaty gave the US almost everything it wanted, especially the much sought after access to the Mississippi River. Suprisingly little happened on July 4, 1775. The vote for independence was already complete. Congress simply approved the final wording of the Declaration and sent it to the printers.
