EP17: How A True Partnership Led Ashley & LaToya To Grow Their Brand And Their Natural Hair Community Of Curls No Lye

Today in the guest chair we have Ashley and LaToya from Curls No Lye. Curls No Lye was founded in June 2015 by Ashley Anderson. It started as an Instagram page with the purpose of becoming an open forum for the natural hair community. The goal was to learn and grow along with the support of other naturals just trying to learn what works best for their curls. In February 2018, LaToya Pickett joined the team as an administrator with the same vision for the brand. Since 2018, the brand has evolved into product reviews, a YouTube channel, podcast features and brand partnerships. We felt the only thing missing  for our curl friends was apparel. On this episode Ashley & LaToya share: Their desire to build an all inclusive community for Natural Hair What true partnership is when building a business The setbacks they have encountered during their business Their vision for the future of the brand To keep in touch with our guest and podcast see social media links below: Instagram: @curls_nolye Website- www.curlsnolye.com Black Women Unfiltered- @blackwomenunfilteredpodcast Website: www.blackwomenunfiltered.net

EP 16: Owning My Truth: How Stacey Brown Diagnosis of MRKH Led Her To Be An Advocate For Black Women and Infertility

In light of National Infertility Week ,  I felt that it was important to talk about infertility in the Black Women Community. I know personally that I am not knowledgeable about infertility and because we don’t talk about it. It’s such a delicate subject. So I felt it was important to have a Black woman come to the chair to talk about infertility. In the guest chair today, on a special episode called Owning Our Truths,  I brought Stacey Brown. Stacey Brown was diagnosed at the young age of 25 with Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser. MRKH syndrome is a disorder that occurs in females and mainly affects the reproductive system. This condition causes the vagina and uterus to be underdeveloped or absent, although external genitalia are normal. Which means a woman cannot get pregnant and will deal with infertility. On this episode Stacey talks about: * Her diagnosis of MRKH * The lack of information and compassion she received from a male doctor about her condition * How she decided to be an advocate for MRKH * What she wants Black women to know about infertility Support Groups mentioned in this episode: Beautiful You Foundation: Beautiful you Foundation [https://www.beautifulyoumrkh.org/] Instagram:@beautifulyoumrkh [https://www.instagram.com/beautifulyoumrkh/] Sistahs Surviving Infertility: @Sistahs Surviving Infertility [https://www.instagram.com/sistahssurvivinginfertility_/] Stacey’s Instagram: stacey_n_thehouse [https://www.instagram.com/stacey_n_thehouse/] Make sure to tune in to the podcast on Apple Podcast, Google Podcast , Spotify, and Anchor. Liker at det er både Podcaster (godt utvalg) og lydbøker i samme app, pluss at man kan holde Podcaster og lydbøker atskilt i biblioteket.
Bra app. Oversiktlig og ryddig. MYE bra innhold⭐️⭐️⭐️
