episode AUSTIN METCALF'S DAD LIVE cover

AUSTIN METCALF'S DAD LIVE

During a track meet between Memorial High School and Centennial High School in Frisco, Texas, light rain begins to fall, and athletes take cover under tents with their respective teams at Kuykendall Stadium. Memorial High School athlete Austin Metcalf finds Centennial High School athlete Karmelo Anthony under the Memorial High School tent and tells him he needs to move from under his team's tent. When Anthony refuses, words are exchanged, and Anthony tells Metcalf, "Touch me and see what happens." Centennial High School's Karmelo Anthony allegedly reaches inside his bag, grabs a knife, stabs Austin Metcalf in the chest, and runs away. As Metcalf's twin brother, Hunter, comes to his brother's aid, witnesses point out Anthony to a nearby middle school resource officer, who chases the suspect down. The school resource officer confronts Karmelo Anthony, telling him to put his hands up in the air. Anthony tells the officer, "I was protecting myself," claiming Metcalf "put his hands on" him. Anthony hears the officer say he has the "alleged stabbing suspect" in custody, and Anthony replies, "I'm not alleged. I did it." Anthony claims self-defense. Now a jury has found Anthony guilty and he has been sentenced to 35 years.  Father Jeff Metcalfe joins Nancy Grace.  See omnystudio.com/listener [https://omnystudio.com/listener] for privacy information.

episode BRIAN HOOKER FRIEND: "ALL LIES" cover

BRIAN HOOKER FRIEND: "ALL LIES"

GPS evidence now contradicts Brian Hooker's account in the disappearance of his wife, Lynette Hooker, in the Bahamas. Hooker told authorities that Lynette fell from their 8-foot dinghy into the water during bad weather on the evening of April 4 and was swept away. He claims  Lynette had the electronic motor keys with her leaving him stranded in the dinghy. He says he had to paddle for hours to reach shore. Investigators reviewed electronic tracking data from Brian Hooker's devices, finding significant discrepancies.  GPS data shows the dinghy moving across the water, stopping in the Sea of Abaco, and then returning. Hooker’s account lead investigators to search “in the wrong area” for Lynette.  Joining Nancy Grace today: * Daniel Danforth - former friend of Brian Hooker   * Josh Kolsrud  - criminal defense attorney and former Assistant U.S. Attorney, founder of Kolsrud Law Offices, website: kolsrudlawoffices.com, Facebook and YouTube @KolsrudLawOffices * Brian Fitzgibbons - Director of Operations for USPA Nationwide Security, website: www.uspasecurity.com [http://www.uspasecurity.com/], Instagram: @uspa_nationwide_security * Vanessa Walsh - host: Unmasked True Crime, Facebook and YouTube: UnmaskedTrueCrime, X: CrimeUnmasked * Dave Mack - Investigative Reporter, 'Crime Stories' See omnystudio.com/listener [https://omnystudio.com/listener] for privacy information.

MISS USA HOPEFUL KADA SCOTT MURDERED, SUSPECT ORDERED HELD FOR TRIAL

Keon King, the suspect accused of the October kidnapping and murder Kada Scott, will stand trial.  He has pleaded not guilty to  murder, kidnapping, and abuse of a corpse. A pre-trial hearing has been scheduled for June 24. Kada Scott's remains were found in a wooded area behind an abandoned school in East Germantown.   She was last seen shortly after arriving for a shift at an assisted living facility in Chestnut Hill.  Police began searching the area, near the vacant Ada H. Lewis Middle School for Scott after receiving a "very specific" anonymous tip. Police previously searched the area of the school and arboretum in the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia but reported only finding some physical evidence, without commenting on what evidence was uncovered. Community members voice anger and frustration at police while gathering behind the crime scene tape during the search on Saturday, saying they could have found the body sooner. Keon King had a criminal record prior to his alleged involvement in Scott’s kidnapping. Investigators say King kidnapped and assaulted another victim earlier in the year.    See omnystudio.com/listener [https://omnystudio.com/listener] for privacy information.
