Beskrivelse

You can build a platform, a business, a brand, but if you haven't had this conversation with your kid, you're missing the whole point. This is the episode I've been building toward since Day One. My son Kaiden and I finally sit down and nothing is off limits. WHY YOU SHOULD WATCH / LISTEN:  Fourteen solo episodes. Three Legacy Recaps. And Kevin B the Brand always said the first guest had to be the right person at the right time. That person turned out to be eight years old. EP 15 is the first-ever Legacy Talk a father and son conversation between Kevin and his son Kaiden that covers what legacy actually means, what it looks like to show up for the people you're building for, and what happens when you finally slow down long enough to say out loud the things you usually leave unsaid. It's honest. It's funny. And somewhere in the middle of the lightning round and the letters they read to each other, it hits different. Because legacy isn't just something you build, it's someone you build it with. If you're a father, this one's for you. If you have a father, this one's for you too. FULL EPISODE WRITE-UP: The Setup Kevin B the Brand has been teasing this episode since the beginning. It was supposed to be EP 6. Then EP 10. Now it's here right where it was always meant to land. After closing the solo chapter of Dear Legacy... with Legacy Recap Vol. 3, he said six words: See you in the next chapter. EP 15 is that next chapter. The first guest in Dear Legacy... history isn't a CEO, an entrepreneur, or someone with a platform. He's eight years old, turning nine in September, a three-sport athlete, gifted academically, and already coding and developing his own games and novels. He also firmly believes he's funnier than his father. He's Kaiden. Kevin's son. His legacy. What Legacy Actually Means (Block 1) The episode opens with Kevin and Kaiden trading questions about the word that started it all. What does legacy mean to you? When did you start thinking about it? Who taught you? Kevin talks about how legacy isn't about what he's going to leave behind it's about how he's living every day. That intention sharpened the moment Kaiden was born. Before that, he was figuring himself out. After that, the work got a reason. The discipline got a reason. Everything he was building had a name on it. Kaiden's answer hits different. In his own words: Legacy is a journey you're taking where you don't give up. Kevin admits he's stealing that line. The close of Block 1 says it clean: Legacy isn't just what you build. It's who's watching you build it. Love, Learning & Showing Up (Block 2) Kevin talks about how his entire schedule is built around Kaiden's his sports, his school, his activities. Not because he has to, but because that's what showing up looks like. He gets honest about the thing he's still figuring out: overcompensating. Trying to pour everything he didn't have into his son, while learning when to step back and let Kaiden be his own person. It's a balance he's still learning to play. Then they read the letters.  Kevin reads his first written and edited with Kaiden the night before. He talks about who he was before Kaiden, and who becoming a father made him want to be. Every early morning, every late night, every decision has Kaiden's name on it. Not because he had to. Because Kaiden made him want to. Kaiden reads his back. Simple, honest, true. He says he's scared to be a dad one day. But he hopes someday he's like his. Kevin lets that silence sit before he moves on. Legacy Looks Like Us (Block 3) The third block goes into identity what they carry together. What it means to be a leader. What makes their family special. Kaiden describes a leader as someone who guides a team when they're in trouble. Kevin expands it it's not just when things go wrong. It's running drills and making sure the last person crosses the line. It's helping your classmates. It's showing up when there's nothing to gain. When Kevin asks Kaiden to describe their family in one word, he gets two: Legacy. And hope. Kevin doesn't argue. The legacy you build is only as strong as the identity you build it from. Lightning Round Fast, unfiltered, exactly what you'd expect from an eight-year-old who's been waiting for his moment. Dream job: game making. Superpower: telekinesis. Food he'd eat every day: ramen, chicken flavor. The banter between the answers is better than the answers themselves. That's the content. Final Reflection: You'll Be Me One Day Kevin asks Kaiden what kind of man he wants to be. A philanthropic future husband. Kevin rolls with it. When Kaiden asks what the biggest thing Kevin wants him to remember is, the answer is the same one that's been running all episode: never give up. Never shrink for anybody. Never dim your light so someone else can shine. Be Kaiden all the time, no matter who's around. They close the episode together: The conversations you have with the people you love are the ones that outlast everything else. And then Kaiden tells the audience to like, subscribe, and click the notification bell before Kevin could get to the CTA. The Close Kevin wraps it solo. He talks about how fathers spend so much time trying to lead, teach, and provide. And sometimes the most powerful thing they can do is just listen. He speaks directly to every father watching: have the conversation. Not about the rules or the grades. About the dreams, the fears, the love. About who you both are and who you're both becoming. Because your kids are watching every day. And the conversation you don't have is the one they'll remember you didn't have. Kevin closes by noting that for all he knows, he might be sitting across from a future president right now. Kaiden's not interested. He's thinking about the Wii. That's the whole thing right there. Define it. Build it. Live it. Dear Legacy... Stop Overthinking, Start Moving | EP 14 | Dear Legacy...Podcast

You already know what you need to do you’ve known for a while. Clarity was never the problem. This is the episode where you finally move.  WHY YOU SHOULD WATCH/LISTEN: Episode 14 closes the arc that started back in EP 10. We talked about what we accept, the decisions shaping our lives, the signal when something feels off, and the lies we tell ourselves. This is the part nobody can do for you the moving. It’s the moment awareness has to become action. If you’ve been sitting on something you already know you need to do, this is the push. We get into overthinking, the “right time” lie, building momentum through small wins, discipline over motivation, and finally becoming who you said you’d be. FULL EPISODE WRITE-UP: There comes a point where you already know. You’ve looked at your standards. You examined your decisions. You sat with the signal. You stopped lying to yourself. You did the hard part, you faced it. So, the question stops being “what’s going on?” and becomes “what are you actually going to do with it?” Here’s the truth this episode is built on: clarity by itself doesn’t change anything. You can see it clearly, understand it, talk about it all day but if nothing changes in your actions, nothing changes in your life. That’s where most people get stuck. Not because they don’t know. Because they don’t move. I put myself on Front Street in this one. I’ve got a website I haven’t launched, merch sitting ready, a media team asking me to pull the trigger and I keep overthinking the aesthetics instead of starting messy. Think about Uber. They were first to market and they started messy lawsuits, permits, chaos. Didn’t matter. They moved, and now we call every rideshare an Uber. First to market wins, but you’ve got to actually start. So, we name it for what it is: overthinking is just delayed action. Trying to get every detail right before you begin isn’t preparation it’s hesitation. Waiting for the “right time” is a story we tell ourselves to justify not starting. Conditions are never perfect. The right time isn’t found it’s created, and it’s created by moving, not waiting. Then we get into momentum. It doesn’t start big. It starts with one real decision, one real step, then another. When me and Tiffany were in Greece on our honeymoon, we wanted to get to the top and we couldn’t see the end of those stairs. We just kept putting one foot in front of the other until we got there. You don’t need to see the whole staircase. You just need to take the first step. Small action beats perfect inaction every single time. And momentum needs discipline, not motivation. Motivation is a feeling, and feelings come and go. Discipline is a decision. The people doing the work aren’t always feeling it they show up anyway. Some days that message, that workout, that post isn’t even for you. It’s for the seven out of seven hundred it’s going to reach. So you show up regardless. Which is where the arc lands: identity over outcomes. You can chase outcomes your whole life and still feel empty if who you are doesn’t match what you’re building. The habits you repeat daily are building a version of you whether you’re paying attention or not. Every day is a vote. So stack the small wins they’re the evidence that change is real. I challenged us to win 22 of 30 days in June (22’s my legacy number) and stack from there. Your legacy isn’t built in the highlight moments. It’s built in the ordinary ones the Tuesday you didn’t feel like it, the Thursday life got loud. Alignment isn’t a destination, it’s a daily practice. Your daily actions either pull you toward who you said you’d be or away from it. So stop living on autopilot and start moving with intention. At this point you don’t need more information. You don’t need more clarity. You know what needs to change. You know what step to take. There’s only one thing left: action. Not perfect action. Not everything at once. Just real movement in the direction you already know you need to go. Don’t wait. Don’t overthink it. Take the step. Start where you are. And that starts right now not when you’re ready. Now. If this gave you something to think about, subscribe to Dear Legacy, drop a comment, follow along on social, and share it with someone building their legacy in real time. This is life after 40 fatherhood, entrepreneurship, mental health, intentional living, and the discipline it takes to build something that lasts. Define it. Build it. Live it. Dear Legacy... Stop Lying to Yourself | EP 13 | Dear Legacy...Podcast

You already know what needs to change. You've known for a while. The question is are you finally ready to stop lying to yourself about it? WHY YOU SHOULD WATCH / LISTEN This episode hits different because Kevin doesn't just talk about self-honesty he lives it on mic. EP 13 is the follow-up to the signal from EP 12, and this time we go straight to the truth behind it. Kevin breaks down the three lies we tell ourselves every day, the three things we keep avoiding, and the three steps that actually lead to growth. He's putting himself on blast about two years of 'I'll start when,' the logo redesigns, the perfect conditions that never came, and the consistency that keeps slipping. No fluff. No motivation speech. Just real talk about what it actually looks like to stop making excuses and start owning your situation. If you've been circling something you know you need to face this is the episode. FULL EPISODE WRITE-UP Dear Legacy... Stop Lying to Yourself | EP 13 There's a moment where everything becomes clear. Not because something new happened but because you finally stop avoiding what you already knew. EP 13 is the truth behind the signal. Kevin B the Brand isn't delivering this from a distance. He's in it with you, naming his own version of the exact thing he's asking you to face. The Lies We Tell Ourselves It starts with small stuff. The quiet justifications. The phrases we come back to every time we don't do what we said. "I'll start when." Kevin spent two years there. Three logo iterations, a full studio build, waiting on perfect conditions while people with a phone and a cheap mic had already started building real audiences. The right time wasn't coming. It was passing. "I don't have time." But the calendar doesn't lie. Hours on gear research and email signatures while the real work sat untouched. Your time reflects your real priorities not the ones you say out loud. "This is just how it is." The quietest one. You stop questioning. Start normalizing frustration. Kevin talks about Tiffany hitting him with: "I'm going to have to push back on that." Because she believes in the vision more than he sometimes does. That's what this episode does too. What You're Avoiding Once the lies become normal, you start steering around things. The real work: Kevin breaks down the priority list vs. the secondary list. Most people crush the secondary list and call it a win. If your two top priorities didn't move, you didn't win the day. The thing you keep skipping is usually the thing that would change everything. Your comfort: He doesn't like change. Says it directly. But staying safe has a price. His eight-year-old Kaiden is building a YouTube channel, willing to risk embarrassment. Kevin had to ask himself why he was less bold than his kid. Blame: The moment you stop owning it, you lose the ability to change it. Kevin pulls a JAY-Z line: you can't control a situation you don't own. You can't grow what you hand to someone else. Choosing Honesty and Ownership None of this is about tearing yourself down. It's about getting clear.  Call it what it is. Not the version you've been telling people the real one. You can't deal with what you won't name. Own it without shame. Responsibility isn't punishment, it's power. Kevin talks about reminding himself "I'm him" not for the crowd, for himself. Shame keeps you stuck. Ownership moves you. Move with clarity. Once you're honest and own it, the path clears. Kevin catches himself using "life be life" mid-episode and calls it out. That's not a reason. It's cover. Kevin closes with five questions awareness to honesty to decision and answers the last one live on mic. His one thing: consistency. Growth doesn't start when everything is perfect. It starts the moment you stop lying to yourself. Define it. Build it. Live it. Dear Legacy... When You Feel Off | EP 12 | Dear Legacy…Podcast

Everything looks fine on the outside… but something still doesn't feel right. That feeling isn't confusion it's a signal. And it's time to listen to it. WHY YOU SHOULD WATCH / LISTEN: This one hits different. Episode 12 of Dear Legacy is raw, unfiltered, and exactly what you didn't know you needed to hear today. Kevin B the Brand gets personal about the last few weeks the move of studio space, the chaos, the lost momentum, the quiet struggle with depression and turns that experience into one of the most honest conversations this show has had yet. If you've ever woken up, handled everything on your list, kept it together for everyone around you… and still felt completely off inside this episode was made for you. No quick fixes. No toxic positivity. Just real talk about what it means to feel disconnected from yourself, why that feeling is actually pointing you somewhere, and how to start moving back into alignment one small, intentional step at a time. This is the conversation you've been needing but probably haven't been having. FULL EPISODE WRITE-UP: There's a version of feeling lost that nobody talks about the one where nothing is technically wrong. You're still showing up. Still handling your responsibilities. Still making moves. But internally? Something's off. And you can't fully explain it, which somehow makes it worse. In Episode 12 of Dear Legacy, Kevin B the Brand opens up about exactly that the last few weeks of navigating a move, losing his routine, battling creative and emotional disconnection, and quietly wrestling with depression while still trying to push forward. And instead of glossing over it, he slows down and does what Dear Legacy was built for: sits with it, gets honest about it, and turns it into a conversation that reflects real life. Because that feeling of being off? It's not a flaw. It's not weakness. It's feedback. This episode breaks down three powerful truths about that feeling most people spend their days running from: 1. The Signal — Recognizing What You Can't Name That quiet discomfort that shows up when the day slows down isn't random noise. Kevin breaks down what it actually means when everything looks right on paper but still doesn't feel right inside and why going through the motions without being present is one of the most dangerous places you can live. 2. What the Signal Is Pointing To Sometimes you're not broken you've just outgrown something and haven't adjusted yet. Kevin challenges listeners to stop choosing comfort over clarity and get honest about what they already know but haven't been willing to face. Because awareness doesn't come from searching harder. It comes from finally being honest. 3. How You Respond — Realign, Don't Overhaul You don't need to blow everything up. You don't need a full reset. You need a realignment. Kevin walks through the power of small, intentional adjustments rebuilding routines, reestablishing presence, and learning to let your actions actually reflect where you're trying to go. The episode closes with five reflection questions designed to cut through the noise and bring you back to yourself because that's what this show is about. Not perfection. Not performance. Presence. Feeling off isn't the end of the story. It's the beginning of a more honest one. If this episode connects with you subscribe to Dear Legacy, drop a comment with what hit home, and share it with someone who needs to hear it. Your legacy is being built in real time. Define it. episode Dear Legacy... The Decisions That Change Everything | Ep 11 cover

Dear Legacy... The Decisions That Change Everything | Ep 11

In Episode 11 of Dear Legacy, Kevin B the Brand delivers a powerful reminder: your life isn’t defined by one big decision it’s shaped by the small ones you make every day. Through reflection, real-life examples, and intentional breakdowns, this episode explores how routine choices, delayed actions, and lack of awareness quietly build your habits, your identity, and ultimately your legacy. From operating on autopilot to learning how to make intentional, aligned decisions, Kevin walks through the mental shifts required to take control of your direction. He highlights the gap between the life people say they want and the decisions they consistently make and challenges listeners to close that gap through ownership, discipline, and consistency.
