I struggled with this a lot growing up, and would always go along to get along no matter how it made me feel. as I have gotten older I have realized that I would rather live in my authentic truth, and be honest about my views and feelings rather than suffer in silence to make many around me happy, when in reality, they wouldn’t do the same for me. While it is no surprise that the numbers of single black mothers continues to be on the rise, we need to stop and take a look at the reasons behind this, and unfortunately it starts with taking a look in the mirror.
