Front Porch Chats
In this episode of Front Porch Chats, we hear from recent graduates of the EMPOWER Youth Leadership Program from Taylor County as they reflect on a year of personal growth, leadership development, and discovering how they can make a lasting impact in their communities. Through EMPOWER, these students participated in hands-on learning experiences that helped them strengthen communication skills, build confidence, and better understand the importance of service, teamwork, and civic engagement. The program encouraged them to step beyond the classroom and see leadership in action through meaningful interactions with community leaders and organizations. From personal development and leadership training to learning about cooperative education, community service, and economic development, students gained valuable insight into what it takes to help communities grow and thrive. Students also share memorable moments from the program, including discovering their individual strengths, participating in community-focused activities, and learning practical life and professional skills that will serve them well after high school. Most importantly, these Taylor County graduates reflect on how EMPOWER challenged them to think differently about leadership—and helped them realize they are capable of making a difference wherever life leads them. Join us as we celebrate the next generation of Taylor County leaders and hear how EMPOWER is helping students turn potential into purpose. 🎧 Listen now on Spotify: https://spoti.fi/3vNoxB6 🎧 Listen on Apple Podcasts: https://apple.co/3OeGVJg Follow Front Porch Chats for more stories about leadership, service, and the people helping rural Georgia thrive.
