Global Methodist Voices: Stories From North Georgia
"Family" has become to mean husband, wife, and 2.5 kids in society these days, but according to Dr. Rich Griffith (and the Bible), that is not a full understanding of the Gospel, or the ways that Jesus defines family. Author, Professor, Pastor, Speaker, and Parent, Dr. Griffith talks this time about how churches can really begin to reimagine "church" as a family, which makes a lot of sense as it is the title of his most recent book! What would the church look like if it embraced more intergenerational ministry where children sat with people who were their grandparents' age and learned to worship? What would it be if we actually showed up for each other, if we treated church members as family members? What would it be if we embraced families that look different than our ideas like single parents, moms or dads, adoptive parents, foster parents, grandparents, widows, orphans, and the list goes on?
