Beskrivelse

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2293608/fan_mail/new] Healthy relationships don't happen by accident. They are built on trust, respect, honest communication, and the freedom for both people to be fully themselves. Unfortunately, not every relationship is built on those foundations. Sometimes, unhealthy dynamics develop so gradually that we don't recognize the warning signs until we're deeply entangled. And when children are involved, the stakes become even higher. In this conversation, we explore why communication is the foundation of every healthy relationship, the red flags that can signal emotional abuse or coercive control, and the green flags that create safety, trust, and mutual respect. We also talk about the importance of modeling healthy relationships for our children. My guest, Lisa Johnson, is a high-conflict divorce strategist, certified domestic violence advocate, and educator. Her own journey through a lengthy and emotionally exhausting divorce transformed her into a passionate advocate for others navigating similar circumstances as the co-founder of the platform Been There Got Out. But what struck me most about our conversation is Lisa's deep understanding of relationships. Whether you're in a relationship, supporting someone who is, or simply want to become a better communicator or a better partner, I believe you'll find wisdom, hope, and practical insights in this episode. Please enjoy my conversation with Lisa Johnson. Amanda Sproles on The Wisdom of the Body: A Somatic Path to Healing

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2293608/fan_mail/new] Have you ever noticed that understanding something intellectually doesn't always create change? We can read the books, listen to the podcasts, and know exactly what we "should" do, yet still find ourselves repeating the same patterns, reacting in the same ways, and feeling stuck in the same beliefs. What if the missing piece isn't in the mind at all? In our conversation, we explore what somatic healing actually is, the difference between who we are and the thoughts that pass through our minds, how limiting beliefs become embedded in our nervous systems, and practical ways to begin creating lasting change. We also discuss several somatic modalities and why healing often requires more than simply changing our mindset. My guest, Amanda Sproles, is a trauma-sensitive Somatic Coach who helps people reconnect with the wisdom of their bodies so they can release limiting patterns, heal from the past, and create lives rooted in greater presence, purpose, and self-trust.  If you've ever felt trapped by old stories, recurring emotional patterns, or the belief that you're somehow not enough, this episode is for you. What Illness Taught Me About Health: Holly Eckert's Journey Through Epilepsy and Healing

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2293608/fan_mail/new] What happens when the body suddenly stops cooperating with the life you've carefully built? In this conversation, we explore a woman’s journey from artist to patient advocate, the lessons learned while living with epilepsy, the importance of caring for and listening to our bodies, and what it means to seek care in a health system focused on profit. Today's guest, Holly Eckert, grew up in a small mountain town in Idaho and discovered her love for dance in childhood.  Healthy, strong, and thriving into her mid-thirties, Holly's life took an unexpected turn when she began experiencing uncontrollable seizures. Epilepsy quickly disrupted everything she thought she knew about her body, her future, and the healthcare system she depended on for answers. What followed was not only a search for healing but also a deep investigation into the strengths and shortcomings of modern medicine in the United States.  Determined to share what she learned, Holly transformed her experience into a powerful memoir, SEIZED: Searching for Health in the United States. This was one of the most beautiful conversations I've had so far, in 3 years of podcasting. Enjoy! Ana Maria Jinga from Darkness to Freedom: Rewiring the Mind for Healing

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2293608/fan_mail/new] Have you ever noticed how easily we believe every thought that crosses our minds? A self-critical thought emerges, and we mistake it for our identity. But what if your power lies in realizing that you are not your thoughts? In this conversation, we explore what it means to detach from the stories our minds create, why resisting thoughts often gives them more power, and how acceptance can become a pathway out of the darkness.  Today's guest is Ana Maria Jinga, a business and lifestyle identity coach and the founder of Becoming Abundant, a faith-rooted personal growth movement dedicated to helping women reclaim freedom in their minds and hearts. Drawing from her background in psychology, neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), holistic wellness, and faith-based mindset work, Ana helps people break free from limiting patterns and reconnect with their God-given identity and purpose. This episode is a reminder that our thoughts do not define us, that we are never meant to walk life's challenges alone, and that even in our darkest moments, there is a path back to hope, freedom, and wholeness. Don’t be shy to ask for help. Please enjoy my conversation with Ana Maria Jinga.
