In this sermon series we walk through the book of Numbers as we see what it means for God to be in the midst of His people. God designed time with a purpose far deeper than schedules and deadlines. The Hebrew word for 'seasons' in Genesis 1:14 is the same word used for the tent of meeting, the place where God's people met with Him. Every sunrise and sunset was built into creation as a recurring reminder that we were made to meet with God. The offerings in Numbers 28 and 29 were structured around the rhythms of time itself, from daily to annual, all pointing to this same truth. We cannot draw near to a holy God on our own terms, because our sin separates us from Him. Jesus, the unblemished Lamb of God, fulfilled everything those offerings pointed to by dying in our place and covering us with His perfect righteousness. Because of what He has done, we are invited to respond with lives of joyful offering through prayer, generosity, and daily worship. Every sunrise is an invitation, and every sunset is a reminder of what we were created to do.
