In this video, I open up about what God was teaching me in that season when it comes to:  identity, purpose, and birthing what He places inside us. This is the heart behind HolyBirthed. 🤍 Support the show [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2390585/support]

EP10-Everyone wants 'a Boaz', But...🤫

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2390585/fan_mail/new] In this episode of HolyBirthed, I talk about why the Ruth and Boaz story isn’t my relationship goal. I actually really don't like the concept of "finding your boaz". We’ve turned a redemptive story into a romantic fantasy, but when you really sit in the book of Ruth, it hits different. Naomi’s advice was out of character! That advice was not inspired by the holy spirit. I’m not calling Ruth names, but if we’re being real, the way she approached Boaz that night was not modest/holy. Ruth was being led by pressure not purity.  It wasn’t romantic either; it was risky and foolish. Yet, God still turned that moment into purpose. Let’s read it again, this time through God’s lens not culture.   FYI: This episode isn’t about the Ruth & Boaz movie on netflix, it’s about the Bible story itself. The movie we will talk about another day Support the show [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2390585/support]
