Joy In Motion: Autism, Motherhood, and the Beauty in the mess
After two months of holidays, snow days, and never having a quiet house, I’m finally back — just me this time. In this episode, I’m sharing something I don’t usually talk about in real time: the hard moments. The ones that sit heavy. The ones that come with guilt, grief, and second-guessing. Being a support-needs parent isn’t just “hard days.” It’s the constant mental load. The hovering. The scanning. The protecting. And sometimes… the biting, the dysregulation, the moments that feel like setbacks — even when they aren’t. I'm talking about why we hover. Why inclusion takes work. Why awareness isn’t enough. And why growth can be both beautiful and messy in the same afternoon. This is real life. 🤍
