After noticing that she got along well with a lot of trans people, Laura realized that many of the ways that society, men, and a certain brand of feminist treats trans people was VERY similar to the way that those same people treated strippers and other full-service sex workers. The ideologies come from the same place: separate women into subgroups, then determine which groups qualify as "real women" or "traitors," and then fight to limit the rights of the "non-women" in an attempt to boost the rights of the "real" ones. It's purity politics at its finest, and it's a conservative viewpoint that views the world through a deeply patriarchal lens--one where women are slaves, men are on top, and no one has any chance for independence or freedom.

Medical Privacy is a legitimate concern in this case, and the lawsuit cites illegal search and seizure as well as other factors. This was clearly a targeted attack by MAGA and the Right-Wing Grifters to attempt to eradicate transgender kids from existence, using political overreach to accomplish their nefarious goals.

A big question on our minds as we attempt to resist and overthrow fascism is always... "should we use the tools of the enemy while fighting them"?? One of those weapons that they wield so proudly is "outing" closeted queer people to endanger our lives and get us ostracized from our communities. Why are hormones considered medication, and when did we start giving it to trans people? When did we start administering hormones to CIS people? Who were the thinkers who originally researched trans people, and why was the early research burned and destroyed? Why are there so few older trans people? Why were the guidelines for transition SO strict in the 1900s? How did doctors take advantage of the system to abuse trans people? When did the tides begin to shift?
