This week on LIVING IT LOUD: Kristy W. Armstrong is a Denver-based Bible teacher, retreat speaker, and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She has taught at Bible studies and retreats throughout Colorado, across the United States, and internationally in South Asia. Kristy is the author of Loving God and Yourself, a Bible study exploring the three loves found in the Great Commandment in Matthew 22. Her passion is helping people deepen their love for God while gaining a clearer understanding of what it means to love their neighbors as themselves. Kristy earned a B.A. in Psychology from Baylor University and an M.A. in Counseling from Denver Seminary. She began her counseling career at Vernon Grounds/Cherry Hills Counseling Center and continues to maintain her LPC designation. While raising her family, she served as an Adjunct Professor at Colorado Christian University, on the Board of Trustees at Valor Christian High School, and on a local charter school board, while also homeschooling her children during various seasons of life. More recently, Kristy earned a second M.A. in Biblical and Theological Studies from Denver Seminary, studying Greek and Hebrew while balancing family life. She has participated in mission work both domestically and internationally. Following a trip to India, she helped launch a Business-as-Mission (BAM) initiative in Kolkata to support slum ministries and community development. She also serves on the board of AsOne, which focuses on sustainable, community-based solutions to poverty in Uganda. Kristy and her husband, entrepreneur Wil Armstrong, have been married for 33 years and have three children. In her free time, she enjoys reading, walking with friends, spending time with family, and relaxing with her dog Beau at the family cabin in south-central Colorado. She has also climbed seven Colorado fourteeners.
