Mercy Culture Waco
In this compelling message, Pastor Sean Gleason explores what it truly means to pray for deliverance, drawing from Luke 22 and Matthew 6. He unpacks the truth that deliverance is not a one-time event, it is a daily prayer, because just as Jesus gave us a model for daily prayer that includes "deliver us from evil," we must daily partner with God against the schemes of the enemy. Pastor Sean challenges believers to stop making prayer their last resort and to make it their first priority. Pastor Sean warns that there is no neutral ground between good and evil, and that Christians can unknowingly partner with the enemy through gossip, slander, unforgiveness, control, and manipulation, forms of what he calls Christian witchcraft. He calls the church to repent from any partnership with the enemy and to return to the most powerful weapon available, simple, sincere, daily prayer. This message challenges believers to understand that the disciples fell asleep in prayer not out of rebellion but out of sorrow, and that many people today do the same, spiritually falling asleep when the weight of life becomes too heavy. The answer is not to sleep, it is to rise and pray, because when you pray, God can and will deliver you from evil. The vision of Mercy Culture is to take people from corporate encounters with God to daily personal encounters with God. At Mercy Culture, one of our unique characteristics is that we are a presence driven church. We are not built around any person or ministry. We are built around the presence of God. Each week, you will hear a teaching from our Lead Pastors, Les and Nikki Cody or another leader in our community. To learn more about Mercy Culture, visit https://mercyculturewaco.com
