Beskrivelse

So many women are carrying far more than anyone realizes. Because they’re not talking about it… they’re still functioning, still working, still showing up, still taking care of everyone else. Resilient A.F. In this Love Note for Your Nervous System, I explore the invisible emotional load so many women carry every day, and how the body often begins expressing what we’ve never given ourselves permission to talk about or even feel. Healing doesn’t often happen by doing more. Sometimes it can begin by asking: “What am I still carrying that I was never meant to hold alone?” If today’s Love Note resonated with you, I’d love to invite you to take the next step. I’ve created a free Guided Nervous System Reset—a gentle 13-minute audio to help you slow things down and give your body a chance to settle. Episode 8: Your Body Remembers

Have you ever found yourself reacting to something... and not really understood why? A tone of voice. A certain person. A room. A feeling that arrives in your body before you’ve had time to think it through. In this Love Note for Your Nervous System, I explore the idea that the body remembers what the mind has long since learned to explain away. I talk about how it remembers what once felt unsafe. It remembers the environments we adapted to. And so many of the patterns we find ourselves fighting today were once intelligent ways of protecting us and yet can keep us stuck. Maybe healing isn’t about fixing yourself. Maybe it’s about helping your body discover that it no longer has to operate from old programs. Episode 7: The Metabolism of Overgiving

Something that I don’t think we talk enough about the cost of constantly giving. Not just emotionally. Not just mentally. Physically too. In this Love Note for Your Nervous System, I explore the idea of: that overgiving may be metabolically expensive. What happens when we spend years pouring our energy into everyone and everything around us, while quietly forgetting to ask ourselves whether we’re okay? The body is always paying attention to resource availability. Not just calories or nutrients, but rest. Joy. Support. Connection. Being cared for. Being considered. Maybe healing begins with a different question. Not, “What’s wrong with my body?” But, “What has my body been carrying for me?” If today’s Love Note resonated with you, I’d love to invite you to put it into practice. Episode 6: The Nervous System Side of Exhaustion

“I wake up tired.” It’s something I hear from women all the time. And while more sleep can certainly help, I don’t think exhaustion is always about how many hours you’ve spent in bed. Sometimes it’s about how many years your nervous system has spent staying “on.” In this Love Note for Your Nervous System, I explore the hidden side of exhaustion… the kind that comes from constantly thinking, anticipating, managing, monitoring, and carrying an invisible mental and emotional load. What if you’re not simply tired? What if your nervous system has forgotten what it feels like to truly rest? I hope this episode helps you see your exhaustion with a little more understanding... and a little more compassion. A Little Something for Your Nervous System If you’d like to turn this conversation into a practice, I’ve got a little something for you. I’ve created a free Guided Nervous System Reset. It’s a gentle 13-minute audio to help you slow down, soften, and give your body a chance to remember what it feels like to settle. You can download it here: sharlenestyles.ca/reset I hope it supports you. This is a public episode. Episode 5: Why You Eat Everything at Night

Episode 5: Why You Eat Everything at Night “I was good all day... and then nighttime came.” It’s something I hear from women quite frequently. And while it’s easy to blame willpower, I think there’s often a much bigger story unfolding beneath the surface. In this Love Note for Your Nervous System, I explore why evening cravings may have less to do with discipline and more to do with a body that’s been running on stress, adrenaline, unstable blood sugar, and constant output all day long. What if your cravings aren’t you not wanting it bad enough? What if they’re your body’s way of communicating and asking for something it’s been missing? Sometimes that “something” is nourishment from food. Though, sometimes it’s rest. And sometimes it’s looking for a lil’ softness or big squishy hug. And sometimes it’s simply the first moment all day that you’ve allowed yourself to stop and really feel the feels. I hope this episode helps you see your cravings with a little more curiosity... and a little less judgment. This is a public episode.
