Two segments you may not remember. One segment you absolutely do: "Amelia," a woman alone in her apartment trying to survive a Zuni fetish doll that has come to life. Fifty-one years later, that ten-inch knife-wielding warrior is still one of the most-imitated villains in horror — even if the rest of the movie has aged less gracefully. Barker came up making YouTube sketch comedy, shot a found-footage horror short for $800 that went viral, got hand-picked by Blumhouse, and the movie went on to do $108M on a $750K budget. The story: a shy music-store employee buys a "One Wish Willow" from a witchy gift shop and wishes the girl he loves loved him back. She does. Sort of. Paired with it: Four Kings Port Finish Blended Malt Whiskey — and we found this pour considerably more polarizing than the movie. Lon, in particular, has things to say.
