Third times a charm with Fine Healing Goods Founder, Rachel Dougherty. The first time we interviewed Rachel she was still reeling from years of infertility and a recent failed adoption. Stress during that time led her to create her fabulous high-end CBD beauty line (our fav). Our second interview, Rachel was hours away from driving to the hospital to meet her brand new baby through adoption. The icing on the cake is interview 3 when we talk to Rachel all about her new life as a mom. This is the sweetest, most heartfelt story and we want to thank Rachel for her transparency and raw conversation about the trials of adoption and the tips she gives to parents going down the same path. We highly encourage you to check out her company Fine Healing Goods to indulge in high end healing using plant-based wellness. She is giving every listener 15% off using code:MOM at checkout. www.finehealinggoods.com [http://www.finehealinggoods.com]

This is just the beginning of a greater and necessary conversation. A conversation that has gone unspoken for too long. Today we discuss what our role is as moms during this time with Diana Jones-Martinez. We invited Diana to sit down and share her unique perspective with us as a mother, black woman and daughter of a law enforcement family. We discuss how to talk to your children about race and why its important to have the age-appropriate conversations with them. We encourage you do your own research, educate yourselves, your family, your friends and do your part in your community to support people of color. Stand up, speak out, unite, and do better. We may not always say the right thing or the best thing, yet saying nothing is the wrong thing to do. Jacquie Ramsey joins Britt and Betsy this week to tell her incredible story about being a contestant on the hit show, Survivor. Not only did Jacquie voluntarily give up the comforts of home to go live in an African jungle, eat bugs to stay alive, and form alliances… she also met her true love and now-husband (famed artist and producer Tyler Ramsey) while filming and their forbidden love affair led them to flee into the jungle for a few days while mercenaries and the heads of the TV network searched for them. We can’t make this sh*t up… THIS STORY DESERVES A MOVIE! In addition to being a wife and mom, Jacquie is also the creator and founder of The Fresh Test… a natural, much healthier and more delicious alternative to that horrible orange drink every pregnant mother loathes during their glucose test. Jacquie saw a need in the market and took her idea all the way to the top to becoming the ONLY alternative to that nasty, outdated liquid. Doctors and patients all over the country and now clamoring for this better, fresher way to test! We want to thank Jacquie for going on the loose with us! We also want to thank our listeners for your support! If you want to help us out, please leave us a 5-star review and follow us on Instagram and Facebook @themomsontheloose. Soooo, a guy ate a bat and here we are. Self isolation and social distancing SUCK, but it’s what we are all doing to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and hopefully return to normalcy sooner than later. Brittany and Betsy talk about the woes of quarantine, the uphill battle that is homeschooling, mourning big events that won’t happen, and the silver-linings we have found along the way. The main takeaway is GIVE YOURSELF SOME GRACE. No one ever thought we’d all be educating our kids while stuck indoors away from our friends and family (all while running from a real bitch of a virus) so if poppin’ that cork a little sooner than usual or locking yourself in your closet for five minutes of peace is what’s getting you through it, then by all means. We want to raise our glasses to all the healthcare and essential workers out there. You are the real heroes in all of this and we are so grateful. Until next time... take a breath, go wash your hands for the 150th time today and keep on keeping’ on. Stay healthy everyone! Cheers!!

Follow the MOTL down the dark rabbit hole of epidemiology. You will not want to miss their novice and civilian opinions of something they grasp little knowledge of but they did some research and break it down for you. Also, if you have started buying underwear in bulk and have a stance on unsolicited explicit photos (now considered a crime in Texas) then tune in and drop a line. THANK YOU for your support! Please help us by RATING, REVIEWING, and telling all your friends to SUBSCRIBE to our podcast on @applepodcasts @iheartradio @spotify or wherever you listen to your podcasts. Until next time, find some time to go on the loose. It’s goods for you. Trust us. Cheers!
